FMNM is an Inter Denominational, Inter Racial and Inter Faith organization which looks past the irrelevant issues and focuses on the needs of the people and their real plight. I have failed horribly at times and made my fair share of mistakes but have continued to look forward. Fortunately I’m a work in progress and God is not finished with me yet. Forget Me Not was birthed after being miraculousl
y healed from Polio at the age of 14 with the motivation: If we meet and you forget me you have lost nothing BUT if you meet Jesus and Forget Him you have lost everything. So from there the philosophy of Walk the Talk or sit down was adopted. Live the Love of Jesus to all people and adopt it as a Life Style. It takes no skill to judge and condemn but it requires tolerance and understanding to walk in anothers shoes and win him to Jesus with love. I believe this to be the true order of Discipleship. I have had many attempts on my life and the last count was 7. The second to last attempt was challenging in that the blood had congealed in my body but by the Grace of God I am still in the battle for the King of Kings and will not relinquish my authority and victory I have in Jesus Christ. As youth leader in my teens Preaching, Hospital visiting of the Dying, Street Ministry and compassion ministry was the order of the day. This was in the 70’s. Despite challenges I persevered with theological studies and successfully completed it and High School the same year. I played 1st and 2nd team Rugby, Hockey and Cricket. Upon leaving school I joined the South African Air Force and Attained my National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. I also qualified in 05 different trades. I also qualified as a Lecturer and gave instruction at the SAAF training institute. I received my distinguished service medal after 10 years of service. I left in the 90’s as one of the Project Managers on the Oryx Helicopter. Our Project received the Arthur Childs Award for the Revolutionary work done on the Oryx Helicopter. I played Defense Volley Ball and Cycled. I then completed additional theological studies but have stayed a student of the scriptures and different cultures to this day. Learning is an everyday privilege and should never be taken for granted. I have always had an affinity for the oppressed and down trodden. In the apartheid time opposition to this was an everyday function. So my calling as an Evangelist / Teacher was naturally focused within the black and colored communities. I mainstreamed a professional career as well as an Evangelist / Teacher calling since then. Within the secular world I further acquired additional skills within the IT industry. I functioned as an ITC consultant, Systems, H/Ware and S/Ware Project Manager, Process Consultant, Change Consultant, Work flow Consultant and a Start-up Business Consultant with BEE companies. In addition to this I attained extensive experience in the Logistical and Operational Management arena of Stock Management and Transport Management in the Wholesale and Retail Sector. My secular stamp was very evident in my ministry which focused primarily on community based projects. Ps Martin Roelofse
