The purpose of Women Independently is to empower young women and girls, focusing on South African learners between grades 9 to 12. The reason for this is to empower them with career information, as well as socio-economic issues that are currently faced by you
ng women and girls in South Africa. These topics may include HIV/AIDS, Teenage Pregnancy, Violence Against Women, Gender Equality, Previously Disadvantaged Community Programs, Guidance Counselling and Life Coaching, and Other Lifestyle Issues. Our 2014 event, founded by WritersHand Studios, will focus on young women and girls within Cape Town communities, mostly learners between grades 9 and 12, will operate as a career exhibition and conference. Present at the event will be a host of Guest Speakers, Corporate Managers and Directors of various institutions, Tertiary Institutions, as well as Live Entertainment.
