What an incredible journey it has been! đź’ś

After 12 weeks of self-discovery, healing, growth, and empowerment, a remarkable group of women from across Mitchell’s Plain proudly graduated from the Mitchell’s Plain Network Opposing Abuse (MPNOA) programme.

These sessions provided a safe space for women to reconnect with themselves, overcome challenges, embrace their stories, and rediscover their strength. From learning self-love and compassion to finding their voices again, each graduate demonstrated courage, resilience, and determination.

As facilitators, witnessing these women transform from survivors into overcomers has been truly inspiring. Their stories remind us that healing is a journey, self-care is essential, and it is never too late to invest in yourself.

Congratulations to all our graduates on this milestone. May this be the beginning of even greater growth, confidence, and success.

“Your story is not just about struggle – it is about resilience.”

Today’s session, “River of My Life,” brought up moments, memories, turning points, and things we don’t always say out loud. Adding play therapy into the space reminded us that sometimes laughter can be just as healing as tears - helping us breathe again after going deep, creating both release and connection.

A gentle reminder that healing doesn’t only happen in heavy moments, but also in the joy we share together.

This Freedom Day, we didn’t just celebrate freedom - we felt it, deeply and personally 🇿🇦

As we reflected on how far we’ve come as a nation, we also turned inward… exploring freedom within ourselves - emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

It was intense. Raw. Real.
Stories were shared. Pain was acknowledged. Strength was revealed.

And in that space, something shifted.
There was release. There was connection. There was healing.

Freedom isn’t just something we celebrate once a year - it’s something we choose, work through, and step into every single day.

A reminder:
True freedom starts within.

Today’s assertiveness session was filled with laughter, connection, and meaningful conversations.

The biggest takeaway? Before we label others, we often carry passive, aggressive, or passive-aggressive behaviours within ourselves. Awareness is where change begins ✨
