We asked some of our ladies to share a word of encouragement, and their messages are a beautiful reminder that sometimes we all need to hear: keep going, keep becoming, and keep believing in who you are becoming.

So let’s take a moment to listen to their words and let them encourage you today.

Here’s some Monday motivation and food for thought. 🌱

What if the greatest measure of our growth isn’t how far we have come, but how many people can see a little further because we chose to grow?

When a woman is given the opportunity to learn, lead, earn, dream and become, she carries that possibility into every space she enters and often, into the lives of those who come after her.

And the women at 9Miles Project are helping shape the change they want to see in their communities.

Because when women are given room to rise, they don’t rise alone. They create a pathway for the next generation to believe that they can, too.

So as you step into this new week, ask yourself:

What are you becoming and who might find the courage to become because they watched you.

Remember to get involved and inspire our girls with words this women’s month —> https://padlet.com/mbcarelse00/inspire-her-to-move-mountains-16cb5x8vzyzls1kh

Who are you becoming? 💭

This week, our boys mentorship session created space for a question that beyond who they want to be when they grow up:

Who are you becoming today?

Through honest conversations about character, choices and the men they want to become, our boys explored how the small decisions they make today shape the people they will be tomorrow.

And during Women’s Month, there’s a lesson we believe every boy should hear:
Raise boys who know that strength is not about power over others. It’s about character, respect, responsibility and knowing how to treat women and girls with dignity. 🤍

Because the men we hope to see in our communities tomorrow are being shaped by what we teach, model and reinforce today.

We’re not just raising boys. We’re helping shape the men they are becoming. 🌱

Moments in Elands Bay. 😊

Access to opportunity can look very different in small towns like Elands Bay. For young girls, education can be one of the most important ways to open doors beyond what they see around them.

Education is about giving girls the knowledge, confidence and skills to make choices for themselves and imagine a future they may not have thought was possible.

We see education as part of the bigger picture, creating safe spaces where girls can learn, grow, ask questions and discover what they’re capable of. Our Elands Bay programme works alongside the local library and provides ongoing education support to help make learning part of everyday life. 📚

Sometimes, all a girl needs is one moment that makes her think, “Maybe I really can.” 💙

This weekend at the LaMuse Classic presented by Roxy Davis Foundation, Tammy paddled her way into the semi-finals, while Leticia made it all the way to the finals and finished 2nd. 🥈

But what moved us most wasn’t the result.

It was watching two young girls step into the water, take their chances and discover a little more of what they’re capable of.

Because confidence doesn’t arrive all at once.
It grows: wave by wave, try by try, with someone in your corner saying, “Keep going. You belong here.”

This Women’s Month, leave a letter on our She Moves Mountains Padlet Wall for a girl who needs to hear those words —> https://padlet.com/mbcarelse00/inspire-her-to-move-mountains-16cb5x8vzyzls1kh

She Moves Mountains is back! ⛰️

This Women’s Month, we’re celebrating the girls and women who inspire us to dream bigger, stand taller and keep moving forward.

We’re inviting YOU to write a message of encouragement to a young girl in our community, anonymously or in your name. Your words could feature on our digital wall, across our socials, and be gifted to the girls at our She Moves Mountains celebration on 28 August.

💌 Write a message via the padlet: https://padlet.com/mbcarelse00/inspire-her-to-move-mountains-16cb5x8vzyzls1kh
🎁 The most inspiring letter wins a R1,000 voucher + a special shoutout.

Want to make an even bigger impact? 🧡
Throughout August, you can donate vouchers, which we’ll use to purchase special goodies for our girls and hand them over at the celebration. You can also donate warm clothes or care packs.

And if you’d like to celebrate with us, you’re invited to join us on 28 August! 🌸

Because sometimes, one message, one gift or simply showing up can remind a girl just how much she’s capable of.

She moves mountains. And so can you.
