The Miles4MiracleKidz campaign aims at raising funds for Miracle Kidz through Miguel Netto's participation in IronMan 2012. Miracle Kidz is a safe house based in Constantia, Cape Town. A safe house provides temporary placements for children who have been abandoned or abused. Miracle Kidz is not an orphanage as the children who come to Miracle Kidz have biological parents. Miracle Kidz provides saf

ety for mainly babies and toddlers but also provide safety for emergency placements of older children. They never know when they could get another child so their doors are always open to taking in new abandoned or abused kids and caring for them. In March 2011, Miguel was introduced to Miracle Kidz by Ros Siddle. The visit to Miracle Kidz was a true eye opener and a realisation that there are kids out there that are far less fortunate than us and need the basic necessities that we often take for granted. This then enthused Miguel even more to finally fulfil a life-long dream in competing in IronMan on the 22nd of April 2012. He wants to use this test of physical endurance to raise money through Miles4MiracleKidz to help the kids at Miracle Kidz. Miguel wants them to also be able to dream and fulfil their own dreams one day. He asks that everyone open up their hearts and make both the kids and his own dream come true.
