Once upon a time, an illustrator walked down Bury St in London and discovered The Illustration Cupboard- a quirky little jaunt full of wonderous illustrator work. Not being of London birth, she wondered if anything like this existed back home. The art world of Cape Town has no such thing, which makes it very difficult to display 'non-fine art' work and forces illustrators to take the online route.

Now of ALL people, we are the kind that loves the smell of old books, of freshly printed sheets, of mighty markers and the feel of a brushpen against rice paper. What's all this online selling rubbish? So this travelling illustrator, along with her eccentric business partner, opened a shop, A GALLERY! Open to you, dear reader, and to ye wonderful illustrator! Come drink caffeine and be merry!
