What a heartwarming Adoption Day weekend at Petworld!

Together with our incredible welfare partners, Mdzananda Animal Clinic Adoptions, Howlelujah Foundation, A New Hope Dog Rescue, and Happy Tails Langa, we helped more rescue pets take the next step towards loving forever homes.

🏡 Across our Cape Gate and Somerset West events with Mdzananda, 15 cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies found families of their own, with an additional adoption still pending through Howlelujah Foundation. Every adoption represents a second chance and a brighter future for an animal in need.

At Petworld XXL N1 City, Happy Tails Langa had a lovely day filled with plenty of cuddles, and wonderful support from the store team. While no adoptions were finalised on the day, the conversations, exposure, and warm welcome made it a meaningful step towards future new beginnings.

From wagging tails and happy purrs to generous support and caring conversations, the weekend was filled with everything that makes rescue so special.

A heartfelt thank you to every adopter, donor, volunteer, foster parent and customer who stopped by to show support. Your compassion helps our welfare partners continue their life-changing work every single day.

Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your life? This sweet boy, Schalk aka Hulk, weighing in at 30 kg, is just over a year old (about 14-15 months) and is bursting with love and energy!

Temperament:
• Affectionate Nature: Schalk is a true lover at heart, always ready to give warm hugs to everyone he meets.
• He offers the coziest cuddles, snuggling tightly against you for the ultimate comfort.⁠
• Friendly with Other Dogs: He gets along wonderfully with his furry friends, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household.
• Gentle and Kind: This boy has a heart of gold and truly has “not a bad bone in his body.”
• Please no cats.

Energy Level:
• He still has plenty of energy as he is still a pup, so an active home with space to run, play, and explore would be ideal.
• Daily walks and playtime will keep him happy and healthy, and he’ll surely return the favor with endless affection!

Hulk Hogan of Dogs:
• Just like his namesake, Hulk Hogan, this pup loves to wrestle and charm his way into the hearts of everyone around him! Get ready for some playful antics and a show that will leave you in stitches!

• A loving family or individual who can dedicate time to walks and play.

On Saturday we had an adoption day at Petworld N1 City. Lots of laughs with the puppies but unfortunately no adoptions. Thank you to Petworld for having us there.

🐾 Older Boys Deserve Love Too 🐾

While puppies often find homes quickly, our older male dogs are so often overlooked. Yet they have so much love, loyalty, and companionship to offer.

These wonderful boys have grown past the chaotic puppy stage and are ready to be someone's faithful best friend. They know the value of a warm bed, a gentle pat, and a family to call their own.

Older dogs bring so many advantages:
❤️ Their personalities are already developed.
❤️ They are often calmer and easier to manage.
❤️ They are incredibly grateful for love and attention.
