Finely was surrendered over to the PDSA who contacted us to see if we could take him on, how could we say no! 🥹

After spending a few days with Katja where his health was closely monitored (he maybe stayed longer because how could we resist 😉). Over the weekend he went to his foster home where there is a strong possibility that he will stay forever. 🤞

Tessa / Red is looking for her forever home 🏠 🥹

Tessa was born in Feb of 2026 and was rescued along with the rest of her litter and her mom, Mia. She’s grown up in foster care and has ALOT of love to give!

She’s good with other dogs, has gone to basic puppy classes, is vaccinated, microchipped and sterilized!

She will thrive with an active family or another dog that she can play with. She’s quite energetic but does settle down!

If you are interested in adopting Tessa please contact us on (064) 859-8007

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OPEN STREET LANGA 🥳

One day of the year Langa community reclaims their streets and the community comes together.

Happy Tails would love to be there - to sign up for sterilizations, deworm / treat for ticks, hand out food and have a spin wheel of animal prizes (bowls / collars etc) for the community.

Unfortunately we simply cannot do this without a large group of volunteers - AT LEAST 15 people are needed.

If you cannot help out on the day - we are going to be help to prepare for the day and will be getting together sometime next week. We will also need volunteers for this!

When : Sunday 25 October
Time : 12:00-17:00
Where : Langa

Please if you can help, join the following group chat specially for this event :

Meet Duffy, our little duck footed girl. 🥹🩷

Duffy was found in Langa on Sunday with severe injuries to her back legs. The cause of these injuries is unknown, potentially she was hit with a car.

She was immediately uplifted and the wounds have since been flushed out and checked by a vet. They are very painful and deep but hopefully with the right medication they will begin to heal.

Additionally she was covered in fleas, ticks and had a bad worm infestation and as a result has a slightly low red blood cell count that requires regular monitoring and vet checks. 🥹

We would deeply appreciate any donations towards Duffys vet bill

Meet Willow and her 6 chubby babies! 🥰

Earlier last week Katja was contacted by a concerned resident about Willow and her litter of puppies. Willow has always been a stray and apparently had many litters, that always end up getting stolen. This time, Willow gave birth under a tree behind bushes in an attempt to ensure her babies safety.

We have since uplifted her and her pups and they are currently in a temporary foster.

Willow is very sceptical of people and very scared. She’s not aggressive but doesn’t understand that humans can be nice. She’s an old girl and we don’t even want to think of what she has experienced in her time on the streets.

However, willow is the most incredible mom and has raised 6 VERY healthy and cubby pups. They are only about 3 weeks old so not up for adoption yet.

We are searching for a miracle foster home that will take in Willow and her pups. Someone that understands Willow and is willing to put in the time and love to build her trust. 🥹

🚨 URGENT: Luna needs a foster or forever home by the end of the week! 🚨

Luna's current foster can no longer look after her. Her other dog is severely ill and needs round-the-clock care, which makes it impossible to care for Luna too. Time is running out and we're out of options. 💔

Luna is a sweet Staffy mix girl, about 3 years old, vaccinated, spayed and house trained. She looks bigger in photos, but at 8 kg she's only the size of a Jack Russell! 🐾

✅ Super easy to be around and well behaved
✅ Good with kids and toddlers 👶
✅ Good with other dogs after a proper introduction 🐕
⚠️ Not suitable for homes with cats or small animals

*Please, please reach out if you can help, even if it's just temporary.* Every day counts. 🙏

📞 Contact Sara on *065 862 6009*

Please share this post far and wide. It could be the reason Luna finds a safe place to land. ❤️

Besides from the tragic passing of Nemo, the rest of the Sea litter is doing ok with the incredible foster moms. 🩵

They are however, flying through milk and making up for their previous missed meals 😉

Additionally, our one foster mom is needing a new heating pad which helps to keep them warm which is essential.

Would we appreciate any donations towards their care. 🩵

I’m sure everyone remembers Koa who was rescued at 4 weeks old with a badly broken front leg. After being advised to put him to sleep, the amazing vets at Pinelands Village Vet agreed to try the surgery which was miraculously successful! After many weeks of crate rest and a million vet visits - he was ready for adoption and found perfect! He’s recently graduated puppy classes and enjoying his fair share of outings and beach adventures. This couldn’t have happened without your support and donations towards his vet bills! So a huge thank you. 💚
