This morning, LP Angela Niehaus did her regular weekly maintenance on the vegetable garden at Rosedon. She picked some beautiful fresh produce including cabbage, celery, broccoli and spinach which will be used to enhance the meals for the residents.

Lion President Angela Niehaus visits Rosedone House in Rondebosch East every week to tend the 12 x 2 meter planter boxes which were sponsored by the club in February 2026.

The residential facility for 45 Cerebral Palsy adults has benefited from the vegetable garden in more ways than one. Positioned at wheelchair height, the boxes are accessible to all residents who wish to assist in caring for the crop, despite their physical restrictions. In the past few weeks, they have harvested Broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, carrots and lots of spinach & celery.
