Faith-Based Organizations Unite for Community Prayer Intervention in Wallacedene

Wallacedene, Cape Town | 22 August 2026

The Kraaifontein Spiritual Crime Prevention Forum (SCPF), in partnership with the Kraaifontein Prayer Walk Network (KPWN) and AFM Hosanna Church Wallacedene, successfully conducted a community prayer walk through Wallacedene on Saturday, 22 August 2026.

Participants gathered at AFM Hosanna before moving into the community, engaging seven strategic high-crime hotspots identified as areas requiring urgent spiritual, social, and community intervention. At each location, prayers were offered for peace, safety, restoration, families, youth, and community transformation.

Throughout the outreach, volunteers distributed Gospel tracts and Bibles while engaging residents along the route. Many community members requested prayer, creating meaningful opportunities for encouragement, support, and hope.

This initiative demonstrated the power of collaboration between faith-based organizations committed to serving the community and addressing the challenges facing Wallacedene. Long recognized as a high-crime area, Wallacedene continues to face significant social challenges that require sustained engagement from all sectors of society.

The Kraaifontein Spiritual Crime Prevention Forum, Kraaifontein Prayer Walk Network, and AFM Hosanna remain committed to being boots on the ground, fostering visible community engagement and advancing practical and spiritual interventions that contribute to safer and healthier communities.

"We believe transformation begins when communities unite in purpose and action. This prayer walk was not merely an event but part of an ongoing commitment to stand alongside the residents of Wallacedene, bringing hope, prayer, and practical support where it is needed most."

The partners extend their sincere appreciation to all volunteers, church leaders, stakeholders, and community members who participated and contributed to the success of the initiative.

Further community prayer engagements and outreach activities are planned as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen community partnerships, promote social cohesion, and advance positive change throughout the greater Kraaifontein area.

Kraaifontein Unites in Prayer for Wallacedene

22 August 2026 | Wallacedene

The Kraaifontein Spiritual Crime Prevention Forum, together with the Kraaifontein Prayer Walk Network (KPWN) and in collaboration with AFM Hosanna Wallacedene, will join hands for a strategic Prayer Walk in Wallacedene on Saturday, 22 August 2026.

The team will gather at 5 Dorris Street, Wallacedene, at 08:00, before proceeding through the community to seven strategic prayer points.

This assignment is about more than simply walking and praying. We will engage with residents, share the Word of the Lord, encourage the community, and strategically pray over Wallacedene—covering families, young people, schools, streets, homes and the broader community.

As faith communities and community structures, we believe that prayer is a powerful catalyst for transformation. We are committed to standing together, serving together and believing God for peace, restoration, protection and hope throughout Wallacedene.
