The National Association of Child Care Workers
We are a registered non-profit organization working independently to promote optimal standards of care for orphaned, vulnerable and at-risk children and youth. A unique professional association, the NACCW comprises a membership body as well as a professional services section undertaking a range of activities aimed at improving the quality of life for children and families - particularly those affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty. All NACCW activities are focused on improving the quality of services provided to at-risk children and youth through developing the abilities of those who work directly with them - child and youth care workers.

Remembering Jack Phelan

NACCW mourns the passing of Jack Phelan, a valued friend, colleague and long-standing member of our organisation since 1999.

Jack attended many NACCW conferences over the years and generously shared his knowledge, experience and passion for Child and Youth Care with our community. Through his presentations, workshops and engagement with C*C practitioners, he made a lasting contribution to the growth and development of the profession.

We are grateful for Jack’s friendship, wisdom and lifelong commitment to Child and Youth Care. His contribution to NACCW and the wider C*C community will be deeply remembered.

May his soul rest in peace.
