A little inspiration can go a long way. ✍️

At UTTE, we believe that creating opportunities for children to explore their ideas, express themselves and discover what they’re capable of can make a lasting difference.

Through writing, creativity and community, we’re helping young minds imagine what’s possible.

Help us create more opportunities like this.

From 2012 to today.

UTTE’s story began with Urban-Think Tank’s work in South Africa, exploring how architecture, design and collaboration could create new approaches to housing and community development.

In 2022, Urban Think Tank Empower (UTTE) was formally established as a non-profit organization.

Today, the work continues, building more than homes, and creating opportunities for communities to thrive.

Every home tells a story.

And sometimes, the best stories are told through a child’s eyes.

We’re inviting children to pick up their pencils, crayons and imagination and show us what home means to them. 🎨

Their drawings will become part of A Night of 1000 Homes, a collective exhibition celebrating home, belonging and possibility.

1000 artworks. 1000 stories. One conversation about home.
