We had a wonderful morning with our Grade 7 Prefects from Westlake Primary School.
A big thank you to our friends at Muizenberg Improvement District, the Surf Emporium team, and Spur Muizenberg for partnering with us to make the morning so special.

Our learners had a great time together, were well fed, and enjoyed a meaningful time of connection and encouragement.

What a powerful day at Westlake Primary School with the Grade 7s as we hosted The Dignity Campaign 🙌

The Dignity Campaign creates safe spaces for teenagers to talk about real life—identity, self-worth, peer pressure, relationships—and equips them with tools to make healthy, confident choices.
It’s more than a session; it’s about helping young people understand their value and dignity.
We are so grateful for the partnerships that make this work possible.

When we come together for the sake of our children, we begin to see real change in our communities.

A big thank you to the principal and teachers for trusting us with your learners and giving us the whole morning. We don’t take that lightly.

Community, Connection & Exposure 🌍

Today at our Grade 7s programme at Westlake Primary School, we had visitors from The Netherlands 🇳🇱.

We sang, danced, laughed, and shared meaningful conversations together. Moments like these are so important — they expose our learners to different cultures, broaden their worldview, and remind them that they are part of something bigger than their immediate environment.

Our tutors also had a great time connecting and building relationships. These shared experiences create confidence, curiosity, and hope — small moments that shape how young people see the world and their place in it.

Meet Precious, our newest Future Sparks Tutor 🌟
Precious joined our program back in Grade 7 at Westlake Primary School, and today she’s stepping back in — this time to help other learners grow and thrive.

Having experienced the support of the program herself, Precious felt inspired to give back while she waits for her paperwork to be finalised so she can continue with her own studies. Her journey is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

This is what Future Sparks is all about — walking alongside young people, inspiring them to rise, and empowering them to be in a position to help others. 💛

We enjoyed our time at our session with the Grade 7s at Westlake Primary School. We had a visiting team from South Korea and we spoke about Rejection.
It is also good for us to learn and know that even other people in other parts of the world do experience life like we do.

We are in full swing with all our grades this week at Reddam House Constantia! It’s been so encouraging to see both familiar and new faces, especially our Grade 8s as they find their feet in high school.
We’re excited to walk this journey with them and support their growth throughout their High School years.
