On our own this goal seems impossible but with the help and generosity of other we can reach this goal.

With December around not too far we had decided to not just start early but to end of the year with a bang.

This year CHARS will be doing their own (copy) of shoe box gift project as well as the Let's Race with Bottleary who are training and providing fun runs for people in our under privilege communities.

On our own we have a small chance of making a huge success but with your help and assistance we are caring kids a great success.

Do feel free to pledge your support register as a runner or donate towards our goodie bags.
We also need help from City of Cape Town with mobile toilets for the day.

In the process of looking for partners/organizations who can assist young adults and school leavers (diagnosed with disabilities) by providing them with training and/or working opportunities.

💙 Every nappy makes a difference.

Did you know?

👶 A child with a disability requires approximately 240 nappies per month, costing around R1,200 each month.
🧑 An adult with a disability may require approximately 180 nappies per month, costing around R2,500 each month.

These essential costs can place significant financial pressure on families and care facilities.

That is why we are so grateful to Beth-Haran Ministries House of Grace for their generous nappy donation. Contributions like these help provide dignity, comfort, and support to children and adults with disabilities and their caregivers.

Saturday 21st March we not only celebrated Human Rights Day but we also celebrated World Down-Syndrome Day.
And as always CHARS would reach out to the community as we spread awareness

We were then inspired to do our "fingerprint project early this year, where we filled in forms where we help community parents and caregivers with a document that list all personal information of the child including the fingerprint of he child. ( the parent/guardian keep that document safe in case of emergency)

Our aim this 21/03 /2026 was to spread awareness and to show all life matters and also in the hope to bring more attention to the Disability Sector.
We at CHARS are not a political party but we will work with anyone who pledge that the Disability Sector is important and who is willing to listen to the concerns of the mommies who have children diagnosed with disabilities.
