1. Economic Contribution: The NPO sector significantly impacts the economy, contributing 3.2% of the GDP's nominal amount.

2. Philanthropy Impact: According to the "Review of Philanthropy Report within SA Phase II," in 2017, philanthropy amounted to R32 billion out of a total R1.1 trillion.

3. Individual Donations: Approximately 35 million South Africans contribute R22 billion through personal donations.

4. Corporate Social Investment: Corporations invest around R8.1 billion in social causes.

5. National Lotteries Commission: Provides R1.9 billion to support various NPO initiatives.

6. Government Grants: The government allocates R30 billion in grants to NPOs for social services, early childhood development (ECD), health, and literacy programs.

Our Mission..

At ForestChild, our mission is to provide services by upskilling and training within disadvantaged communities. With the ambit of amongst others, Health and safety training services. To work together within the educational sector, empowerment programs and workshops for women and youth to seek out their skills, abilities and potential and to promote it. To become involved in community upliftment programs, environmental awareness and vegetation projects. To provide holistic healing and counselling services across the board. To encourage product sales for communities by providing a platform, such as outdoor market days for arts and crafts. To provide workshops and training on health and safety. This is to be done through sustainable projects which involves community leaders, youth role players, NGO’s and NPO’s. Projects such as reaching out and interacting with communities and existing projects by training them together to collaborate and grow.
