Today we celebrate the dreamers, the doers, the risk-takers and the changemakers who turn ideas into opportunity πŸ’™

On World Entrepreneurship Day, we recognise the entrepreneurs who create livelihoods, solve problems, build communities and contribute to a stronger South Africa.

At Amathuba, we believe that when people are given the opportunity to believe, build and become, their ideas can create lasting impact.

Empowering ideas. Building tomorrow. Changing lives. Here’s to every entrepreneur who started with an idea and chose to make it real. 🌱

Together, we rise.

Smiles of the Week. πŸ’™

"There can be no greater gift than that of giving one's time and energy to help others without expecting anything in return." β€” Nelson Mandela

A smile has a way of brightening someone's day, and the best ones often happen when we are fully present with the people around us.

Whether it was sharing a laugh with friends, enjoying quality time with family, lending a helping hand, or taking a break from your screen to enjoy the world around you, these are the moments that make life meaningful.

Digital wellness is not about giving up technology. It is about using it with purpose so that when you put your phone down, you can be fully present in the moments that matter most.

This weekend, smile more. Scroll less. 😊

"Every experience is a steppingstone toward becoming the best version of yourself."

My name is Esethu Kwatsha, and I am a facilitator at Amathuba Collective. This role aligns with a dream I have carried for a long time, to guide, support, and empower others through learning and shared experiences.

My journey has been both exciting and challenging. I spent a month in a call centre, which was completely new to me. At first, it was difficult to adjust, but I embraced the challenges and grew from them. The highlight has been the exposure to different spaces and opportunities. Each experience has added something valuable to my journey.

I am especially grateful for this facilitation role because it has allowed me to grow not only as a professional but also as a person. Guiding others, seeing their progress, and knowing that I played a small part in their development is incredibly rewarding.

This is just the beginning. Every experience is shaping me into the person I am becoming. πŸ’™

Thank you, Amathuba, for the opportunity and the space to grow.

Tuesday πŸ’™

Helping or Hurting?

It is Tuesday, and we are choosing awareness over autopilot.

Technology connects us, educates us, and empowers us. But it is also a master manipulator of our attention. If we are not intentional about how we use our phones, the algorithm will decide how we feel today.

Let us check the pulse of our community:

POLL: Is your phone helping or hurting your daily wellness?

A) HELPING - It keeps me connected, informed, and productive.

B) HURTING - It distracts me, drains my energy, and fuels comparison.

Today, we should all ask ourselves one question: Am I using my phone, or is my phone using me?

Choose awareness. Choose intention. Choose to be present for the things that truly matter.πŸ’™

Nelson Mandela Day

Nelson Mandela Day is celebrated every year on 18 July to honor Madiba's life, his fight for justice, and his commitment to serving others. It's a reminder that every one of us has the power to make a positive impact in our communities.

The 67 Minutes campaign encourages people to spend 67 minutes doing something good for others, representing the 67 years Nelson Mandela dedicated to public service and the fight for human rights. Whether you volunteer, support a local initiative, help a neighbour, or simply show kindness, every minute counts.

"It is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it." – Nelson Mandela

This Mandela Day, give 67 minutes of your time and be the reason someone smiles, feels supported, or has hope.

πŸ’™ 67 minutes. One purpose. Countless lives changed.

Smiles of the Week. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’™

Happy Mandela Day.

Today we celebrate 67 years of Madiba's life by giving 67 minutes of service. Because optimism is not just a feeling. It is a choice. And service is what that choice looks like in action.

This week, we smiled because we showed up. We smiled because we served. We smiled because we chose to make a difference, even in the smallest ways.

Smile because you are part of something bigger than yourself.

Smile because your presence in this community matters.

Smile because the world is better when we choose to give.

Happy Mandela Day. Serve with love. πŸ•ŠοΈ
