On this special Women’s Day, the Community Police Forum would like to honour and celebrate all the incredible women in our community. To our mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, friends, colleagues and caregivers, thank you for the strength, love, courage and compassion you bring into our lives every day.

Today, we especially celebrate the mothers who have sacrificed so much, stood strong through difficult times, and continue to be the heart of their families and communities. May you always know how valued, respected and appreciated you are. Your strength inspires us, your kindness touches lives, and your courage makes our communities stronger and safer. Let us also remember that every woman deserves to live free from fear, violence and abuse, and that building safer communities is a responsibility we all share. To every woman you are special, you are strong, you are valued, and you matter.

Investing in the youth of Raithby

On Thursday, 06 August 2026, Raithby Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) had the privilege of making a donation to the Raithby Boys’ Brigade as part of an effort to uplift, encourage and inspire the youth of the Raithby community, with a special focus on young boys. The Boys’ Brigade is a Christian youth organisation that operates across communities in South Africa, including the historic community of Raithby near Stellenbosch. The organisation plays an important role in helping young people develop strong values, character and leadership skills.

Through the Boys’ Brigade, young boys are encouraged to grow in faith and character, building strong Christian values, integrity and good character, learning obedience, reverence, self respect and respect for others. Boys Brigade also provides positive activities and opportunities that keep young people engaged, motivated and focused on their potential.

Raithby NHW believes that investing in the youth is investing in the future of their community. By supporting organisations such as the Boys’ Brigade, they help create positive opportunities for young people and provide them with guidance, encouragement and a sense of purpose.
