Our 2023 annual report is here!

Follow the link below to learn more about how REAP continues to evolve and develop, leading the fight against inter-generational poverty in marginalised rural communities by providing pathways into education and training for youth who might otherwise lose hope.

This is challenging and long-term work, partnering with schools, universities, colleges and community leaders to bring about sustainable change.

As ever, we value and appreciate your interest and support, and trust you will be inspired as you read about our programmes on the ground, meet our team and our graduates, and enjoy some pictorial snapshots that enliven the raw facts and figures.

🌟 Celebrating Success: The Inspiring Journey of Franco Blom 🌟

Looking back at the incredible journey of our beneficiary Franco Blom, we're reminded of the transformative impact of REAP - Rural Education Access Programme supported by The Lesedi Solar Park Trust.

Franco matriculated from Kuilsville High School in 2023 with good marksπŸŽ‰

πŸŽ“ Initially, Franco applied to study at UJ but faced rejection. Little did he know, this setback would lead to remarkable opportunities. While at home, Franco selflessly dedicated his time to tutoring grade 10-12 learners in maths at Kuilsville High School, demonstrating his passion for education.

🏫 His dedication caught the attention of a Primary School in Lime Acres, where he was offered a teaching position to teach Maths to grades 4-7. Franco embraced this opportunity and flourished, earning praise from the school principal for his outstanding contributions.

🌟 Franco's journey continued as he was selected by the Premier's office for a full scholarship to improve his marks in Maths and Physics through a program at Stellenbosch University. Franco is currently actively pursuing this opportunity, and the future looks incredibly bright for him.

πŸ’¬ Reflecting on his journey, Franco expresses deep gratitude for the role REAP played in his life, highlighting their continued support. Through the support of Lesedi Solar Park Trust, REAP continues to make a profound difference in the lives of students like Franco.
