Waloyo Future workplace skills for underprivileged youth in Africa.

Waloyo equips underprivileged African youth (6 – 18 years old) with tangible, critical, future workplace skills in an efficient and impactful manner, working with visionary and ethical funders and best-in-class partners. With Africa's youth population set to become one-fifth of the total workforce and one-third of the total youth workforce in the world by 2030, there is an urgent need to support d

igital skills education. Waloyo's Coding 4 Youth program helps the youth to learn coding (computer programming), by collaborating with nonprofits across Africa. We chose coding because:
- It builds future skills that will help the youth to actively participate in the global digital economy.
- They learn critical thinking and problem solving, skills they can immediately apply in their own lives.
- Through the training they learn to collaborate, communicate and lead – skills that are helpful at any age but certainly key to building their future career
- They learn creativity and to express themselves visually

Approved non-profits will receive a fully funded computer coding training program that includes:
- Computer equipment (where necessary)
- Facilitator training
- Training curriculum per grade (incl. license fee where applicable)
- Contribution to internet connection
- Facility and Admin fee to participating organisation
- Measurement and evaluation
