Dear Friends,

As we close out 2025, we’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who chose to partner with us this year.
To those who’ve stayed informed through our social media platforms and personal WhatsApp chats, we hope you’ve enjoyed the insights and interaction with the communities as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it for you, our donors and friends.

Over the course of the year, our team has thrived in fundraising and projects to create funds, to provide for all those that have been part of this calendar year. This year has been a tough one on our organisation as our 3 stores struggled with creating turnover. We might be closing our store in Atlantis soon to focus on turnovers for 2026. The year not only had a negative start as our founder left his day job to attend to personal matters which he is still dealing with but has not stopped serving his communities. We have reached one milestone this year by being part of a recycling company as well as being part of a visionary team and from the Mitchell's Plain Foundation.

Before we step into 2026, we at 2nd Chance Adopt a Family just want to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting us for the last 5 years. None of this would have been possible without relationships and your continued support and belief. Our achievements that shaped this year and set the stage for an even stronger one ahead belongs to all of you my friends.
We look forward to building our first in this journey of 2026!

Hi Facebook Friends

Francis and Joyce Feeding Scheme has stepped up and out to become part of recycling in their area of Rocklands. We're all part of the Mitchell's Plain Foundation, making a difference in creating self sustainability for the greater good of Mitchell's Plain and our planet.

Calling all churches and self funded charities in the Mitchell's Plain Community and surrounding. The time has cometh to create wealth for your organization and the community. A continuous flow of income.
You ask how?
A. If your church/Charity has a property, we have the tools and the builders.
What does this mean?
A. It means we can set your church/Charity up to become part of our waste recycling blueprint.
What if we don't have a property yet?
A. Your church/Charity has a place where you come together yes. Then we can turn that into a collection place.
Must we bring waste to our place of worship?
A. No, of course not.
Our organisation is offering means to help and bring sustainability back into our greater Mitchell's Plain and surroundings. We also want to create jobs for those who are unemployed. Every church/Charity in Mitchell's Plain and surrounding was placed into the community for a purpose. Let's start this partnership today for the communities we serve.
Call our leaders today. Inbox us directly.

Ps. Great is the gift but even greater is the giver of the gift.

Hi Facebook Friends.

2nd hand pre loved items

It's that time of the year when we call on you, our friends and supporters, to spring clean, out with the old, and open your windows for blessings to flow through. Thank you for opening your hearts door by clearing your garage. When moving to a smaller space, we got you. We have ready staff to receive or come and collect. You can either drop off at our branch in Blackheat. Your 2nd hand item will either be converted into cash where we use the monetary resources to buy food and help with up skilling our families. Our shops are currently run by unemployed people who provide a service to their communities. What makes us different from other charities, we are building storehouses for the future, and we believe that a community can become self sustainable when the people's have skills that benefit their communities.

Ps. Clothes don't grow on trees, but we almost sell it for free. Visit our stores or inbox me.

Hi Facebook Friends.
Thanks for all the donations received so far. Remember you can still donate for as little as R30 or keep your plastic and tin cans waste for us to collect. We collect free of charge.
Building self sustainability in communities starts with a clean environment. Everyone should go to bed with at least a meal a day.

Our Founder grew up with a single unemployed mother in a township in Cape Town. When he started this journey, which he calls his blueprint, he has never stopped nor looked back at what ifs.

Place your puzzle piece into our charity and see what we can do with it. The charity has been running on five staff members. A husband and wife and three kids. Our biggest contributors are the Founders Friends. Those he loves, he calls them friends. Partner with us, we have the blueprint for every community, but we need your assistance by helping
