Today was one that meant so much to all of us 💐

We had the absolute privilege of hosting 90 incredible mothers for a beautiful Mother’s Day brunch, and what a special moment it was. From the laughter shared around the tables to the heartfelt conversations and smiles, today reminded us just how powerful, resilient, and inspiring mothers truly are. ❤️

These women are true champions, carrying so much strength, love, and grace every single day.

A huge thank you to our amazing sponsors who helped make this day possible. Your kindness, generosity, and support allowed us to celebrate and spoil these deserving moms in such a meaningful way. We are beyond grateful.

Quick trip to Driefontein (Slaghoek), 75 kids supported ✔️ with stationery, sweet treats, and a warm meal. Great games, laughter, and so much fun was shared.

Most special of all was hearing their dreams and hopes for the future. 💛

Moments like these remind us that our mission remains the same: to uplift, inspire, and make a difference where it matters most.

Today was truly special. 🇿🇦✨

This Freedom Day (1000 smiles project), we spent the morning with 150+ amazing kids, hearing their views on freedom and sharing joy, laughter, and love together. Our youth are the future, and days like this remind us how important it is to uplift, inspire, and invest in them.

✨ FREEDOM FOR CHRIST ✨

Yesterday, we hosted our Freedom Day build-up programme with the incredible kids of Hanover Park ❤️

75 beautiful young lives gathered at the First Community Church for a day filled with laughter, painting, and pure joy 🎨💥

There’s something so powerful about being in community, creating space where children can feel seen, celebrated, and free. This is what Freedom means to us.

It was truly a privilege to spend this time with them and be part of their community 🫶

Rain or shine, our mission doesn’t stop. 🌧️

Over the past few days, as the rainfall has intensified, so has the urgency of what we do daily. At Umanyano, our focus remains the same, working on the ground to assist individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them find safety, dignity, and, where possible, access to shelter.

Working alongside Pinelands CID and law enforcement, we continue to navigate this challenge with care, structure, and purpose.

With winter approaching, this responsibility becomes even greater. The need is real, and the availability of shelter space remains limited, but that doesn’t change our commitment.

Every single day, we continue to show up.
To engage.
To support.
To try, even when it’s not easy.

Our team is actively working within the Pinelands community, doing what we can to connect people to shelter and essential support during these colder, harsher days.

This is more than a task, it’s a responsibility we carry with purpose.

This Easter, we chose to give more than chocolate, we gave hope, joy, and a reminder that every young person matters. 🐣✨

As part of Part 1 of our 1000 Smiles initiative, Umanyano SA, in partnership with Shoprite South Africa, had the privilege of handing out Easter packs to over 100 young people.

Each smile reminded us why we do what we do, because it’s not just about a pack… it’s about connection, care, and creating moments that matter. 💛

A blanket. A story. A bracelet. 💛

Umanyano SA is hosting a Girls Beaded Picnic: Sowing a Seed for 100 girls, creating a safe, uplifting space where they can connect, share, and just be kids for a little while.

The day will include a relaxed picnic with snacks, storytelling, and a beading activity where each girl creates her own bracelet, a small reminder of her strength and voice.
