OUR CHILDREN AND SOCIETY NEEDS HEALED MOTHERS

Thank you to every woman who has shared her ideas, input and excitement for this event. ❤️ The response has been so beautiful — especially the words, **“Nonki, we need this!”** 🥹

The registration link alone has shown me just how much this platform is needed. The numbers are growing every day, and my heart is full knowing that women are ready to come together. ❤️

In my role, I’ve seen how many women are hurting. We have lost **friends, sisters and even children** along the way. 💔 GBV continues to affect our community, and our children deserve to be protected.

Sometimes, all we need is a hug, a safe space and a sister we can confide in. 🤗 Let’s see the woman next to us not as a stranger, but as a sister.

Let’s **heal, empower, connect and celebrate each other with a BANG!** 💃🏽🔥

Our community centre has been fully transformed—renewed, restored, and ready to serve. This space now stands as a symbol of growth, unity, and opportunity for everyone it touches.

This incredible renovation was made possible by the dedication and hard work of The Freeland Projects and over 35 committed volunteers who gave their time and energy to bring this vision to life.

From foundation to finish, this is more than a building—it’s a space built for impact, connection, and a stronger future.

The Vrygrond Community Development Trust CEO and Programme Director officially welcomed the Freeland Projects team upon their arrival, setting the tone for a week of purpose-driven work and collaboration.

What an incredible week it was this past March 🙌

In just 7 days, over 35 dedicated volunteers from The Freeland Projects came together to help renovate the Vrygrond Community Centre. It was a week filled with hard work, unity, and a shared vision.

From start to finish, the energy, commitment, and generosity transformed not just a building, but a space that will continue to uplift and serve our community for years to come.
We are deeply grateful for every hand that contributed and every effort made.

On 8 April 2026, our seniors at the Vrygrond Community Development Trust were cared for through a dedicated health check-up day hosted by Living Hope.

From blood pressure screenings to overall wellness checks, this initiative focused on early detection, prevention, and showing our elders that their health matters. Moments like these strengthen our community and ensure that those who paved the way for us continue to receive the care and attention they deserve.

We appreciate Living Hope for partnering with us to make a real difference in the lives of our seniors.
