🎁 MY BIRTHDAY GIFT TO MY COMMUNITY: 70 DIGNITY PACKS FOR WOMEN WHO GAVE US LIFE, PAVED THE WAY AND NEVER GAVE UP!

This year, like any other year, instead of receiving gifts for his birthday, he is once again choosing to give back.

Together with the Asavela Peko Foundation, we are raising 70 Dignity Packs for vulnerable, unemployed, disabled and needy women in our Delft community.

Each pack contains Sanitary Pads, Colgate, Bar Soap, Towel and Roll-on β€” simple essentials that can make a meaningful difference. Dignity should never be a luxury.

We are calling on individuals, partners, supporters, businesses, donors, sponsors, funders and corporates to help us reach all 70 women. Whether you donate one pack, several packs, cash, products or support through your CSI programme, your contribution can restore dignity, bring hope and remind a woman that her community cares.

❀️ Make my birthday gift count. Give a Dignity Pack. Change a life.

Civil Society need to safeguard the resources placed in its public representatives.

We cannot wait to hear from you City of Cape Town about your findings, and if any misconduct the consequence management πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

πŸ“’ OFFICIAL STATEMENT | ONE CITY. TWO REALITIES PROJECT

Today, the Asavela Peko Foundation formally requested the Office of the Speaker of the City of Cape Town, Councillor Felicity Purchase, to investigate serious concerns relating to the conduct of Ward 106 Councillor Nobanathi Matutu (Luthango).

This forms part of our One City. Two Realities Project, an initiative that champions accountability, ethical leadership, and better service delivery in our communities.

Our request asks the Speaker's Office to investigate allegations relating to poor service delivery, the reported loss of bicycles that were allocated to support Ward 106 Neighbourhood Watches, and possible breaches of the Code of Conduct for Councillors.

We have also asked that allegations be investigated that public resources and funding allocated to Ward 106 may have been used to benefit elderly residents in Ward 24, where the councillor is reportedly seeking election as a candidate in the upcoming Local Government Elections. If true, these allegations raise serious questions about whether public resources were used for their intended purpose. It is now important that the facts are established through an independent and impartial investigation.

This is not about politics or personalities. It is about protecting public resources, ensuring accountability, and standing up for the residents of Ward 106, who deserve transparent and responsible leadership.

Every ward receives public resources to serve its own communities. Residents have every right to ask questions when there are concerns that those resources may not have been used as intended. Seeking answers is not an act of divisionβ€”it is an act of responsible citizenship.

We respect the investigation process and will allow the relevant authorities to determine the facts. Our role, as civil society, is to ensure that the voices of our communities are heard and that concerns affecting residents are brought before the appropriate institutions.

Through our One City. Two Realities Project, we will continue advocating for accountable governance, fair service delivery, and a City of Cape Town where every community is treated with equal dignity and respect.

Accountability builds trust, transparency strengthens democracy and our communities deserve both.

Note: We can without fear or favour do say that Cllr Matutu failed to support our PMW After School Programme with balls/equipment to take children out of crime and illegal activities in Delft even despite then MMC Cllr Patricia vd Ross asked her to give us, and she agreed but never instead wanted us to join her party, and wanted to use us for her party activities.

Tjor, is this the best policing South African Police Service?

W-O-W! What a massive slap from Mr Policeman seemingly doing what he is used to doing 🀷🏽.

Justifiable scenario - Police are above the law, henceforth, their crimes goes unnoticed if this is regarded as instilling order, protecting and serving the nation.

One City. Two Realities: Civic Action & Good Governance Project

We're thrilled to join the pack and encourage South Africans to register to vote on the 2026 Local Government Elections .

As a country we are at a trajectory whereby the power vested by the power of the constitution into the masses is less realized, respected and effectively put into good use.

One City. Two Realities prides itself on the pivotal contribution active citizenship amounts to when having to communities equipped with knowledge, tools, wisdom and exercise their rights, participate meaningfully in democratic processes like voting.

Asavela Peko Foundation as a result through this exciting project will play a pertinent role in ensuring that service delivery concerns are brought fourth, and encourage citizens to vote wisely, and consciously for genuine public representatives that will respect the will of the people, the constitution and envision a brighter future for South Africa, and work towards a country's vision, not their individual scores.

In the coming weeks we will pave a way, and share few aspects in which our role is to start and end pertaining to the cause at βœ‹πŸ½, however, we are not politically affiliated to parties, but we are to play a role with the heart and prioritization of the people, communities and future of local government.

"Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) and South African political parties need to step up, and deliver a fair, transparent and unquestionable elections obviously civil society too need to elect tried, tested and credible public representatives. Now the mood feels like 2026 is the 1994 of our generation."

Unbelievable... πŸ’”πŸ˜πŸ•ŠοΈ

Unbelievable... πŸ’”πŸ˜πŸ•ŠοΈ

We're reeling in shock, confusion and pain on the passing of a 25-year old Mamelodi Sundowns FC and Bafana Bafana Star, Jayden Adams.

Adams recently competed on the world stage at a FIFA World Cup currently unfolding in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.

To his family, loved ones, colleagues and those closer to the hero of our country, and generation, Jayden we express our deepest and heartfelt condolences πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ˜πŸ’”πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ•ŠοΈ

This is a truly sad day in the history of our country, and one that strikes so deep when you think of the life and times of Jayden on the pitch wearing the colours of the club and country with pride, confidence and determination.

"Yes, death hurts, and especially when you are relatively close, but trust me we have all known, cherished and enjoyed Jayden. This is a country's loss, and it's one we will never recover from. Oh Jayden buddy, Oh God - another precious soul, another youth and another bright sparkle for our country!"

During this tortuous and extremely painful moment, surely met with disbelief and uncontrollable emotion we urge the country, and world to join us in prayer and support to the family πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ.
