This morning, Roberta Taylor, our dedicated 2Be Project Training Volunteer, delivered a generous parcel of non-perishable goods and essential items to Montagu’s Gift Primary School.

The donation included tea and coffee for staff, peanut butter, jam, maize meal, noodles, and sanitary products — helping to support both learners and educators within the school.

Thank you to the Women’s Auxiliary District of the Methodist Church for their incredible support in collecting these donations from the community. It’s through partnerships like these that we’re able to make a real and lasting impact!

Last week, the Nolands Foundation had the privilege of donating a brand-new photocopier machine to Montagu’s Gift Primary School in Lotus River, a practical resource that will make a difference in the classroom.

Several of the school’s teachers have participated in our 2Be Project training and highlighted the need for improved access to printing and preparation tools to better support their learners. We’re proud to have been able to respond to that need.

A big thank you to Roberta Taylor, one of our key 2Be Project Training Volunteers, and her colleagues at Carl Greaves Brokers for helping make this possible. 💙

A weekend of growth, connection and transformation🌿

The Nolands Foundation, in partnership with the Principals Academy Trust (PAT) proudly hosted another NOVA Initiative retreat, this time with the principal, teachers and School Governing Body (SGB) of Weber Gedenk Primary School at Camp Salomon.

Derived from the Latin word for “renewal”, the NOVA Initiative embodies our commitment to transformation through collaboration by working alongside school leaders, teachers and parents to inspire educational change.

Throughout the weekend, the Weber Gedenk team took time to reflect, strategise, learn and grow together, with a shared vision of uplifting their learners and community to new heights. 💙

🌟 Proud to be She in Action 🌟

Recently, our Nolands Cape Town Proud to be She ambassadors proudly hosted their very first workshop with the Grade 8 girls of Athlone High School.

Together, they created a safe and supportive space to learn about feminine hygiene, self-confidence, and embracing womanhood with pride. Through the Proud to be She manual, the girls explored important conversations that uplift, inspire and remind them of their worth. 💜

Thank you to Karen Brink for her training and guidance, and to our ambassadors for facilitating an excellent session! Together, we’re helping young girls recognise their power and potential.

Our Nolands Cape Town Proud to be She ambassadors took part in a hands-on training session with Karen Brink, who equipped them with the tools and confidence needed to lead their very first workshop at Athlone High School.

The team worked through the Proud to be She manual, exploring its lessons, discussions and activities designed to help young girls embrace their womanhood with pride 💜.

With this preparation, our team was ready to step into Athlone High School’s P2BS workshop with purpose and impact.

On Wednesday, our Nolands Durban Proud to be She ambassadors had the privilege of hosting an interactive workshop with the young girls of Allingham Primary School. 🌸✨

The session focused on feminine hygiene and embracing womanhood with confidence, while also building character, empathy and self-respect in a fun and relatable way. It was a safe space filled with laughter, learning and meaningful conversations that reinforced the importance of empowering young girls to recognise their worth and step into their futures with pride.

For our team, the highlight was without a doubt seeing the radiant smiles on the girls faces at the end of the day.

Thank you to Karen Brink, whose training and guidance equipped our ambassadors to step into the day with confidence and compassion.

Paul Jones recently had the honour of attending the parade at TS Woltemade in Sandvlei, celebrating the remarkable achievements of the South African Sea Cadets.

The ceremony not only recognised the dedication, teamwork and personal growth of the cadets, but also paid tribute to the outstanding leadership of Lieutenant Commander Gaylene Jacobs. The Nolands Foundation is proud to support and work alongside her, her team and the cadets.

Through our Breakthrough programme, these sea cadets, many from underprivileged backgrounds, are equipped with the life skills, values and confidence needed to build brighter futures. Their growth is proof that with the right guidance and choices, anything is possible. ⚓🌟

Proud to be He: Our First Workshop in Action!

After months of preparation and training, the Nolands Johannesburg Proud to be He ambassadors proudly hosted our very first Proud to be He workshop with the Grade 7 boys of Summerwood Primary School last week.

Engaging with 60 young learners, our ambassadors led the session using our Blueprint manual, a life-skills guide designed to inspire young boys on their journey to becoming confident, respectful and purpose-driven men.

Through conversations around attitude, integrity, self-respect and decision-making, the boys were engaged, curious and open to discussions. Showing their eagerness to learn and reflect.

This is just the beginning for the Proud to be He initiative, and we’re excited to see how it continues to uplift and shape the lives of young men.

Last week, the Nolands Johannesburg team welcomed Paul Jones, CEO of the Nolands Foundation, for a powerful training session with our Proud To Be He ambassadors.

The session focused on our newly launched Blueprint manual, a life-skills guide created to support and inspire young boys on their journey to becoming confident, respectful, and purpose-driven men. This hands-on training was designed to equip our ambassadors ahead of our very first Proud To Be He workshop at Summerwood Primary School later this month.

We can’t wait to see the impact of this important work in action!

Setting Sail Towards a Brighter Future ⛵🌊

This past Saturday, Paul Jones and Roberta Taylor facilitated their first Launch workshop for the young crew members and instructors of the Royal Cape Yacht Club Sailing Academy, who will be taking on the exhilarating Cape2Rio race later this year.

The group, made up largely of young women, took part in an introductory session of the Launch Manual, a life-skills programme designed for young adults stepping into the next phase of life after school. It’s all about equipping them with the tools, confidence and clarity to navigate life’s choices with purpose.

Each of these individuals comes from a challenging background, but they’ve chosen to rise above and chase their dreams with courage and resilience. As the Nolands Foundation, we couldn’t be prouder to walk this journey with them.
