What better way to celebrate with the recent achievement of one of our own!
Enkosi Mejeni, who began training through the Atlas Foundation’s after-school rugby programme at Masiphumelele High School in 2024, was selected for the Western Province U15 Girls Rugby Team and recently helped the side secure gold at the national tournament in East London. In recognition of her leadership and talent, she was also appointed Vice-Captain of the squad. We are super proud of you Enkosi!

The The Atlas Foundation introduced the rugby programme in 2018 as a pathway to the focus on education, well being, girl empowerment & inclusivity. Full credit to the Atlas coaches for their exceptional skills, coaching & mentorship!

We honour the legacy of Mandela Day with 67 minutes today and indeed every day as we aspire to follow his moral compass! Today some of our youngsters gave back to their communities by cleaning up a local play school in Ocean View and also the local square in Masi. Next up will be some fun time together watching another wonderful springbok_rugby epic contest together! Happy Mandela Day to one and all and thank you for your service to this beautiful country! 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

A massive thank you to University of St Andrews Rugby Football Club on tour from Edinburgh who brought their rugby passion, pure energy, bagpipes and a few kilts to The Atlas Foundation rugby practice at our field at Ocean View Secondary! What a time on the field in a brilliant coaching session together! The day moved on to a thrilling curtain raiser with the Atlas U16s against before an exceptional friendly at Masiphumelele Rugby Club with the home team taking a win over our visiting Scotsmen! The winner of the day….Ubuntu in every sense of the way! Thank you for the visit & gift of balls University of St Andrews Rugby Football Club and please come back again to see us! Incredibly proud of these Atlas boys & girls who, together with their exceptional coaches, participated in a brilliant clean of their schools & surrounds. This was a heartfelt contribution on Freedom Day celebrating what the power of collaboration and pride can do for us all! A most important game of touch rugby followed by lunch closed off this special morning together! 👏👏👏

Another outstanding coaching session for our boys& girls at the ! A massive thank you to Atlas champions & for their support & acknowledgement of these rugby loving youngsters! Wonderful to have children from across our projects join in together including those from Masi High, Ocean View High & Dominican School for the Deaf. Our gave an incredible session joined in by the coaches from our Atlas programme & . Coach Dick Muir continues to inspire and the Atlas coaches are truly the heartbeat! Nothing possible without the generous support of as always! And a fabulous close off with legend and his powerful haka war cry with the Atlas one in response!! 🙏🙏
