🌟 BUILDING SKILLS. CREATING OPPORTUNITIES. MAKING A DIFFERENCE! 🌟

NOSTOP NPO, in partnership with HandinHand and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), is proud to be part of a six-month programme empowering young people through workplace experience, skills development and personal growth. β€οΈπŸ‘

Our participants are doing amazing work across our programmes and community partnerships, including the old age home, primary schools, community garden, ECD programme, feeding scheme and administration.

As the Founder and Executive Director of NOSTOP, I am incredibly proud of these young people! πŸ₯° It brings me so much joy to see how much they enjoy the opportunity, work together and embrace new experiences.

Of course, challenges will arise, but what makes me especially proud is seeing how they manage situations, overcome difficulties and respond in a mature and constructive manner. These experiences are building confidence, responsibility, teamwork and valuable life skills that will benefit them long after this programme.

πŸ‘ Well done to all our participants! Keep learning, growing and making the most of this opportunity. You are not only gaining work experience; you are developing yourselves for a brighter future.

A sincere thank you to HandinHand and NYDA for helping create these opportunities for our youth.

❀️ At NOSTOP, we believe that when young people are given opportunities, guidance and support, they can reach their potential and contribute positively to their communities.

Dear NoStop Family,

My name is *Oprah Mukwarami* . I was a volunteer at NoStop

As I come to the end of my time volunteering at NoStop, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude.

Thank you so much for the incredible opportunity to be part of such a purpose-driven organisation. Volunteering at NoStop has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From assisting with HR training and administration, to being part of the sewing programme that uplifts our community, every moment has taught me something valuable.

I am especially grateful to Miss Miles for her guidance, for allowing me to travel with her to meetings, and for including me in strategic discussions. The trust and mentorship I received has grown me both professionally and personally.

I have learned so much about teamwork, service, and what it truly means to make a difference. I will genuinely miss the staff, the community members, and the warm spirit that makes NoStop so special.

Although I am moving on to the next chapter of my journey, NoStop will always hold a special place.

Yours sincerely
Oprah

🌟 **Building Skills. Creating Opportunities. Connecting Communities. Sustaining Futures.** 🌟

Yesterday, the NOSTOP team had the privilege of engaging with the project team from **Henley Business School**, including Sam and Sandie, in a valuable workshop focused on stakeholder engagement.

The discussion provided an opportunity to reflect on the importance of building meaningful relationships, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring that the voices of our communities remain central to the work we do.

We are truly grateful for this opportunity to learn, share ideas, and contribute to a project that has the potential to create lasting impact in our communities.

A heartfelt thank you to Sam, Sandie and the Henley Business School team for the engagement, and to the **NOSTOP team for their continued support, commitment and contribution**. Together, we are building a stronger foundation for community development and sustainable change. ❀️

❀️🍲 **Nourishing Our Communities, One Meal at a Time!** 🍲❀️

At NOSTOP NPO, our Feeding Scheme Programme is about more than providing a meal β€” it is about restoring hope, caring for our communities and ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families receive much-needed support.

Through this programme, we continue to make a difference in the lives of people across our 12 communities, one meal at a time. Every meal served represents compassion, dignity and a reminder that no one should be forgotten.

πŸ™ **A heartfelt THANK YOU to Shoprite SA** for your valuable support and contribution towards our feeding initiatives. Your partnership helps us continue this important work and reach community members who need it most.

We are grateful for partners who recognise the importance of food security and stand alongside community organisations working to create meaningful and lasting change.

Together, we are doing more than feeding people β€” **we are building stronger, healthier and more caring communities.** ❀️

To our NOSTOP team and everyone who contributes to making our Feeding Scheme Programme possible, thank you for your continued dedication and commitment.

🀝 **Together, we can make a difference β€” one meal, one family and one community at a time.**

🌱🌿 **Growing Together at AME – From Planting Seeds to Harvesting Hope!** 🌿🌱

We are so proud of the progress being made in our community garden at **AME!** ❀️ Seeing the garden grow reminds us that with dedication, teamwork and a shared vision, we can make a real difference in our communities.

Our Food Security Programme is about more than growing vegetables. It is about promoting food security, encouraging sustainability, sharing knowledge, developing practical skills and building more self-reliant communities.

πŸ‘ **A special shout-out to Mzolisi Sigam, our Food Security Coordinator!** Thank you for your loyalty, dedication and commitment to this programme. Your passion and willingness to share your knowledge and experience with others are truly appreciated.

🀝 We also extend our sincere thanks to the **HandinHand participants placed with Mzolisi** for their involvement, enthusiasm and contribution to the garden. It is wonderful to see knowledge being shared and practical skills being developed through hands-on experience.

🌱 Every seed planted represents hope.
πŸ₯¬ Every effort represents progress.
🀝 Every lesson shared creates an opportunity to grow.

Now, we look forward to the most rewarding part of the journey β€” **HARVEST TIME!** πŸ₯¬πŸ₯¦πŸ₯• We cannot wait to see the fruits (and vegetables!) of everyone's hard work.

**Well done, Mzo and the entire team!** You are helping NOSTOP turn small seeds into meaningful community impact. ❀️

πŸŒ±πŸ’™ **PLANTING SEEDS OF HOPE – HORIZONS SECURE CYCC, EERSTE RIVER** πŸ’™πŸŒ±

Today was a truly special and meaningful day for NOSTOP as we had the opportunity to visit the residents and staff at **Horizons Secure Child and Youth Care Centre in Eerste River**.

I was honoured to be invited as the **guest speaker**, and our very own **Mzolisi (Mzo)** also shared a powerful message about **Community Gardens** and the importance of creating spaces where people can learn, grow and contribute to their communities. 🌱

What made today even more special was the connection behind this invitation. **Primrose and Lebo**, who are currently involved in this intervention, were both student social workers from **Stellenbosch University** who were placed at NOSTOP last year for a few months.

It is so encouraging to see how relationships and experiences can come full circle. What started as student placements at NOSTOP has grown into an opportunity for us to work together again – this time contributing to an intervention aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of young people. ❀️

We also had the opportunity to **plant seedlings in the garden**. 🌱🌿

There was something very powerful about putting our hands into the soil and planting something that will need care, patience and nurturing before it produces results.

It reminded me that **people are much like seeds**.

When given the right environment, support, encouragement, knowledge and opportunities, they can grow into something beautiful and meaningful. 🌱

At NOSTOP, we believe that every person has potential. Sometimes all that is needed is someone who believes in you, creates an opportunity and walks alongside you on the journey.

We also had the opportunity to share more about **NOSTOP's programmes**, including our work around personal growth, skills development, food security, creative development, youth empowerment and community development.

It was wonderful engaging with the staff, sharing ideas, learning from one another and enjoying some refreshments together afterwards. β˜•β€οΈ

A heartfelt thank you to **Primrose, Lebo and the Horizons team** for opening their doors to us and creating this opportunity for meaningful engagement and intervention.

Today was more than just a visit.

It was about **connection. It was about hope. It was about planting seeds – both literally and figuratively.** 🌱

And as we planted those seedlings today, may we also reme
fans NOmber to keep planting **seeds of hope, confidence, knowledge, opportunity and purpose** in the lives of the young people we serve.

Because when we invest in people, we don't just change a moment...

Today was a special day as our participants completed their training and received their **certificates** – a wonderful reminder that learning opens doors and creates new opportunities. 🌟

A special **THANK YOU to Zulfah** for coordinating this request and making it possible for NOSTOP to bring the training to the Belhar community. Your support and commitment are truly appreciated. ❀️

We also want to acknowledge and thank our partners, **BET Software** and **Apex FundRock**, for their contribution towards creating opportunities for skills development and digital empowerment. Partnerships like these help us take learning closer to communities and make a meaningful difference. πŸ™πŸ½

To all our participants – **WELL DONE!** πŸ‘πŸ½πŸŽ“ You showed up, you learned, you persevered, and today you can proudly say: *I did it!*

🍲❀️ **NOSTOP FEEDING SCHEME PROGRAMME – LEARNING, SERVING & MAKING A DIFFERENCE** ❀️🍲

Today, NOSTOP NPO had the opportunity to engage with participants who came to learn more about our **Feeding Scheme Programme** and, importantly, to understand the process behind the programme.

Our feeding programme is about more than preparing and serving meals. It is about **planning, teamwork, responsibility, food security, community support and making sure that food reaches those who need it.**

The participants were introduced to the different aspects of the programme and gained a better understanding of what goes on behind the scenes β€” from planning and preparation to distribution and serving the community.

We believe that when people understand the process, they also gain valuable skills and experience that can be used in other areas of their lives.

At NOSTOP, we are committed to creating opportunities where people can **learn, participate, contribute and develop skills** while making a meaningful difference in their communities.

A big thank you to everyone who continues to support our Feeding Scheme Programme and to all those who give their time, energy and commitment to serving our communities. ❀️

Together, we are not only providing meals β€” **we are building skills, creating opportunities and connecting communities.**

πŸ’» **INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER TRAINING – BELHAR** πŸ’»

Today was another wonderful day of taking skills and opportunities directly into our communities. ❀️

NOSTOP NPO had the privilege of hosting an **Introduction to Computer Training session in Belhar**, giving community members an opportunity to develop basic digital skills and build their confidence in using computers.

A big **WELL DONE to Zulfah** for organising this training for her community and making sure that the programme could reach the Belhar community. πŸ‘πŸ½

A special thank you to **Skylar Balie and Aysha Rahman** for facilitating today's session and for sharing your knowledge, patience and skills with the participants. Thanks to Elroy Februarie as well 🌟

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to **Apex Fund Rock and BET Software** for making this possible. Your support allows NOSTOP to take our services beyond our usual sites and **bring skills development directly to communities where people need access to these opportunities.**

Digital skills are no longer a luxury. They are an important part of education, employment, communication and everyday life. By creating access to computer training, we are helping people build confidence, learn new skills and prepare themselves for future opportunities.

This is what community development is about β€” **bringing the opportunity closer to the people.** 🌱

At NOSTOP, we believe in:

**Building Skills.
Creating Opportunities.
Connecting Communities.
Sustaining Futures.**

Well done to everyone who made today's session a success! πŸ‘πŸ½β€οΈ
