INHSU Board Members are easy to find this year- just look for the rainbow sparkly lanyard and don’t hesitate to ask them questions or have them introduce you to new people.

🇨🇿 Who’s joining us in Prague next week? Every year, it’s amazing to see the lasting collaborations that started from connections made at the conference.

📖 One example is the Ethical Storytelling Roadmap, which dozens of INHSU attendees contributed to across many months and two different conferences. Now, it’s a resource that storytellers can utilize to ensure people who use drugs are engaged and supported throughout every step of the process.

Are you working to improve the health and wellbeing of people who use drugs in Southeast Asia?

Abstracts are now open for the INHSU Southeast Asia Regional Conference 2027, taking place at Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur from 15–17 June 2027.

Abstracts are invited on HIV, viral hepatitis, harm reduction, drug policy, community-led responses and other issues affecting people who use drugs.

Submissions are open to people based in Southeast Asia and those whose work focuses on the region.

Abstracts close 30 November 2026. The conference is free to attend, with 200 places available.

How can hepatitis B and C prevention and care be scaled up in prisons?

Last year, INHSU worked with European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control - ECDC (ECDC) and European Union Drugs Agency - EUDA (EUDA) to develop the European Toolkit for the Elimination of Viral Hepatitis in Prisons (EuroHePP), a practical resource to support hepatitis elimination efforts in prison settings.

On 23 September, ECDC and EUDA are hosting a free webinar exploring how the toolkit can be put into practice.

The session will introduce EuroHePP before hearing from teams in Milan, Italy and Montpellier, France, who will share how they have scaled up hepatitis B and C prevention and care in their prison settings.

Participants will hear practical examples, transferable actions and ideas for applying the toolkit in their own context.

Peer workers.

People with lived and living experience.

This World Hepatitis Day World Hepatitis Alliance, we're celebrating everyone across the INHSU network and beyond who is playing their part in moving us closer to hepatitis C elimination.

Each year, INHSU's plenary and invited speakers are selected through a multi-stage program development process involving our Program Advisory Committee, conference committees and Conference Executive Committee. Priority topics are identified first, followed by speaker recommendations and voting based on expertise and fit.

This year, that process has led to something worth celebrating. It reflects the extraordinary expertise, leadership and innovation women are bringing to some of the biggest conversations in drug user health today.
