“Even refracted, the light is still His — reaching us in pieces, holding us whole".

What feels like fragments are still the fullness of Him, scattered across the moments of our days, each hue carrying the same source. The Spirit is gentle enough to meet us in pieces, yet powerful enough to hold us together in wholeness.

When I sink beneath the surface, I step into a sanctuary not made by human hands.

The Great African Seaforest rises like living pillars, kelp reaching upward as though in prayer.

Light falls gently through the water, a holy glow that softens everything it touches.

Here, I feel the breath of God in the currents,

His artistry in every fish that darts past,

His stillness in the vast, swaying silence.

I am reminded that creation is not random — it is revelation.

Each leaf of kelp, each ripple of water,

whispers of a Maker whose presence fills even the depths.

In this place, I have seen reflections of God.

Not in words, but in wonder.

Not in doctrine, but in awe.

And I carry that truth back with me,

like sunlight clinging to the surface of the sea.

The Sunken Colosseum

I drifted through the beams of light and it felt as though I had entered a cathedral the ocean had built in secret. The broken framework above me looked like the ribs of some ancient colosseum, swallowed by the sea and softened by time. Kelp hung where banners might once have waved. Fish had taken the place of crowds.

There was no roar of voices, no clash of spectacle—only the hush of water, the soft flicker of sunlight bending its way down. And strangely, it felt more whole this way. What was once built for victory and pride has been claimed by something gentler. Nature does not need an audience.

Hovering there, I felt small but not diminished. Instead, I felt folded into the greater story, one where even ruins can breathe again. The sea reminds me that nothing we build lasts forever—not the arenas, not the applause, not even the stories we tell of them. Yet here, in the quiet, I felt a strange peace.

It was as if the ocean was whispering: “Let go. The world outlives the noise.”

The outer form is sunlight,
a shimmer on the tide—
lovely, yet it passes,
a momentary guide.

But deep within the stillness,
beneath the surface glow,
the soul reveals its mystery,
a current I long to know

Even in the shadowed depths,
where silence gathers like a weight,
it takes only the faintest ember of light
to unveil wonder.

A single shimmer can turn stone into sculpture,
emptiness into cathedral,
despair into a doorway.

For beauty is not absent in the dark—
it waits, quiet and unassuming,
until the smallest radiance
reveals what was always there.

So do not curse the night.
Learn to watch for the glimmer,
the soft thread of brightness
that teaches the heart
how to see again.
