Behind the scenes at the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation, Ocean Campus Studios is bringing the ocean to life through engaging and immersive environmental storytelling for South African television and audiences of all ages.

From conservation and marine life to the challenges facing our oceans, our team creates content that aims to inform, inspire and empower people to care for the ocean and our environment.

During the school holidays, our Ocean Campus Grade 10, 11 and 12 Marine Sciences learners explored museums, the Planetarium and Cape Town’s coastline as part of two exciting Exposure Days.🌊🔬

From discovering taxonomy and biodiversity to investigating rocky shores, seawater, marine life and conservation, learners had the opportunity to put their classroom knowledge into practice and experience marine science in the real world. 🐚🌍

These hands on experiences help inspire the next generation of marine scientists, conservationists and ocean champions. 💙

The September school holidays are about to become an unforgettable ocean adventure! 🌊

Are you a Grade 10 learner with a passion for Life Sciences, the ocean, and protecting our natural world This is your chance to take your curiosity beyond the classroom. Thanks to the generous support of De Beers, we are offering a fully sponsored Young Biologist Course. Learners will discover South Africa's incredible marine biodiversity through hands on activities, build leadership skills, meet like minded young conservationists, and explore where a future in marine science or environmental conservation could lead to.💙

Successful participants may also be considered for volunteer opportunities at the Two Oceans Aquarium, subject to successfully completing the Volunteer Induction Course and operational requirements.

On Saturday, our Ocean Campus team, volunteers and supporters came together for the final FNB-sponsored beach cleanup, working together to care for our coastline and help prevent marine litter from reaching the ocean.

🗑️ 54.94 kg of waste collected!

Every piece of litter removed is one less potential threat to marine life and our coastal ecosystems. 🌊🐚

A big thank you to FNB for sponsoring this cleanup and to everyone who gave their time and energy to make a difference. Your support helps us continue creating opportunities for people to take action for our ocean and coastline. 💙

Marine Sciences is an official National Senior Certificate subject for Grades 10 to 12. Through a unique combination of online learning, live tutorials, and hands on practical experiences, learners explore marine biology, oceanography, ecology, and the vital connection between people and the ocean.
