We opened the day with Youth Voices, Real Change, a powerful plenary highlighting insights from Youth Participatory Action Research on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in Uganda, Malawi and Ethiopia. 🎤

Young people are sharing their experiences, findings and perspectives on what it takes to make CSE more inclusive, relevant and responsive to their realities.

Yesterday marked the start of the MenEngage Africa SRHR Learning and Exchange Symposium in Mombasa, Kenya, themed "Reclaiming Autonomy: Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Justice in the Face of Resistance."

Just 7 days to go until the Youth Pre-Symposium begins in Mombasa, Kenya!

From 10 to 11 August 2026, young advocates from across Africa will come together for The Lobbyist Playbook – Youth Pre-Symposium Training, in partnership with UNESCO, terre des hommes schweiz, UNAIDS, and Frontline AIDS.

This practical, youth-led learning experience will equip participants with the skills to:

✅ Navigate advocacy, lobbying, and public policy
✅ Build coalitions and engage key decision-makers
✅ Craft compelling, evidence-based advocacy messages
✅ Develop action plans to advance SRHR beyond the symposium

This is what it means to invest in young people as leaders, not just participants, in SRHR advocacy.
