ANNOUNCEMENT: In collaboration with Project 90 by 2030, we are delighted to announce the successful completion of the Sakina Grimwood Young Activist Award programme for 2023-24. We had three wonderful finalists from Khayelitsha, Cape Town: two from COSAT and one from Iqhayiya Secondary School.

Today, the three learners were awarded their certificates and a final grant rewarding the learners’ innovation and excellence in carrying out an initiative aimed at cultivating sustainable communities! Pictured here is a learner that undertook a project developing tote bags from upcycled waste material, their mentor, project coordinator from partner organisation Project90by2030, and SGYA board member.
