Sundays are for rest… but the excitement keeps growing! ✨💙

Jolene's Foundation NPO 247-785 Container Kitchen project is really starting to take shape, and we’re just as excited to see the vegetable garden growing alongside it. 🌱

A huge thank you to and Edgemead High School Interact, who will be bringing the container to life with some creative artwork and colour! 🎨🖌️

Keep an eye on this space 👀 a fun collaboration is on the way, and we can’t wait to share it with you. 👀💙

🔨 From cutting and fitting to finishing and preparation, every detail is being completed with care and precision.
Projects like are built through planning, expertise, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

We’re excited to see the vision becoming a reality and look forward to sharing more progress as we move closer to completion.

💙📢 A shout out of appreciation to Wally for his years of service and action in the bottle cap collection project! ✨

Many residents in Edgemead, especially the residents of Farmersfield, know where to drop their bottle caps off, and that is at Wally’s home.

As you can see, many boot loads have been donated towards a great cause, Operation Smile ! 😊

We’re on a mission — collecting plastic bottle caps to unlock a cleft palate survey sponsored by ! Every cap brings us closer to helping someone smile!

🚧✨ Jolene’s Foundation Community kitchen update ✨📢

Our team has been busy this week, led by PP Chris 💪

We’re transforming a shipping container into a fully functional food kitchen for the Jolene Foundation — and the progress speaks for itself! 🙌🏻

✅ All door & window openings cut & prepped
✅ New steel windows & doors installed
✅ Burglar bars fitted
✅ Main doors welded shut
✅ Serving hatch cut out & installed
✅ Roof over the serving hatch underway
✅ Anti-rust oxidation treatment done
✅ Wall & ceiling insulation on site & ready

⚡ Electrics coming soon !

💙 This is what Rotary is all about, rolling up our sleeves and making a real difference.

💙📢 CONTAINER KITCHEN UPDATE! 📢💙

Day 1 is officially underway at the Jolene Foundation in Elsie’s River! 🙌🏽✨

Today the team started cutting out the windows and preparing the layout and planning for the container kitchen installation — and it’s already starting to take shape beautifully! 🚛🔨

A huge WELL DONE to everyone involved so far. Your hard work, teamwork and heart behind this project are making a real difference for the children and families this kitchen will serve daily. 🍲💙

It’s looking GOOD, Wood! 😊👏🏽

Watch this space as we continue transforming this container into a space filled with hope, care and warm meals for the community.

This Mandela Day, we’re turning empty jars into something powerful 💛 and we would like to get our Edgemead Community involved!

Edgemead Rotaract is collecting glass jars (200g–500g) to create Jars of Hope — simple, impactful food jars that can help feed a family of four.

Each jar is filled with layers of:
🥣 Soup mix
🍚 Rice
🌱 Lentils
🧂 Stock cube
🍲 Soup powder

All it takes is water and a boil to create a warm, nourishing meal.

📍 Drop-off point: Edgemead High School In honour of Mandela Day

Why get involved?
Because small acts of kindness can make a real difference. Together, we can support under-resourced families and spread hope, one jar at a time.

At long last, the concrete slab has been laid at Jolene’s Foundation! 🎉

Very soon, a 6m container will be delivered and converted into a community food kitchen — a space that will help us continue supporting those in need.

A heartfelt thank you to every community member who attends our events and makes projects like this possible. Your support truly helps turn dreams into reality. 💛
