On June 1st, we celebrated International Children's Day with the children at The Peace School and The Okalawo Village in Mozambique. 🎉

For many of the children in our communities, childhood looks very different. Many of them are orphaned and are being raised by grandparents, relatives, or guardians. Others carry responsibilities far beyond their years. Instead of spending their days playing, they may be caring for younger siblings, looking after the home, and helping while their families work in the fields.

That is why this day is so special.

International Children's Day is an opportunity for our children to simply be children - to play, laugh, celebrate, and enjoy being carefree for a day.

The morning began with parents, guardians, and caregivers gathering to watch the children present dramas, songs, reading performances, and other special presentations. It was a proud moment for families to celebrate the children's hard work, talents, and achievements.

After the performances, the children enjoyed a special party filled with games, laughter, delicious food, and treats. The joy on their faces was a beautiful reminder of how important these moments are. Every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and celebrated.

Thank you to everyone who helps make days like these possible for the children at The Peace School and The Okalawo Village. Together, we are creating opportunities for children to experience the happiness, care, and hope that every child deserves. ❤️

LIFE CHILD is getting ready to open an ECD in Domboshawa, Zimbabwe!

We are excited to prepare our Montessori preschool, set to open on June 1st. We recently held our first parent meeting, and the community is coming together to create a nurturing space for our future learners.
We have identified 20 children who should be in school but have been unable to enroll due to financial constraints. These orphan and vulnerable children will soon have the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

🍲Today is World Hunger Day.

In these photos, you see children smiling, healthy, and fed. But that is only possible because of your support.

For many of the children we serve across South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe, the meal they receive through Life Child is the only meal they will eat that day. In many homes, there is not enough food.

Because of consistent access to nutritious meals and support, we have reduced malnutrition rates in Mozambique by 42% over the last year.

When a child is hungry, it becomes harder to focus, learn, grow, and develop properly. A simple meal changes everything. These meals help children grow stronger, stay healthy, and continue learning in school.

Help us continue feeding these beautiful children so they do not have to suffer from hunger and can grow up healthy and strong.
