This documentary tells the history of the Free Party movement which was driven by Sound Systems, as in people who got together to organise parties for the love of music and bringing people together. A huge inspiration for the Bombocart and why we want to build our own speakers / sound system! 😃

Our JBL EON 615 speaker did not survive Afrikaburn 2026 unharmed: both the 15 inch woofer and the tweeter got damaged by over excited DJs pushing the mixer into the red. To repair our speaker, so we can use it at Decompression, will cost 5 450 South African Rand. We have set up a crowdfunding campaign on Backabudy, see link in bio or go directly to https://tr.ee/backAbud

Bombocart is planning to build its own sound system from scratch, starting with construction of subwoofer boxes. Is this something you would like to be involved with, either by physically helping build them in Cape Town, or by providing your knowledge and expertise, then please get in touch with us!
