Our Cadets and team stood tall and represented Vigis Home of Hope, their families, Ocean View community with incredible pride.

At the Marching Band Festival, they didn’t just march .they showed discipline, commitment, courage, teamwork and character. Every step, every beat and every command reflected the hard work they have put in.

We are exceptionally proud of each and every one of them. They showed that when young people are given an opportunity, guidance and a safe space to grow, they can rise to the occasion and achieve GREAT things.

Thank you all so very much for making this day possible. There is to many names and organisations to thank that made this work

A big thank you to Deputy Mayor Eddie Andrews of the City of Cape Town for surprising our VHOH Ocean View Cadets with a visit during training yesterday. 🇿🇦🫡

He encouraged our cadets to stay in the programme, reminding them that the discipline and standards they display on base are an excellent foundation for long-term success.

He wished them the best of luck for the competition in October and was so impressed that he arranged tickets for our cadets to watch the DHL Stormers in October! 🏉💙

Thank you, Deputy Mayor Eddie Andrews, for seeing our young people, encouraging them and investing in their experience. It means a lot to our volunteers, parents and especially our cadets.

Every meal prepared for our Family Bible Study is more than just food on a plate. It is an expression of love, care and compassion.

Behind every pot, every sandwich and every meal is someone giving their time and effort so that others can sit together, feel welcomed and experience the love of community.
At Vigis Home Of Hope WE DO EVERYTHING WITH LOVE & COMPASSION.

FAMILY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY WERE AMAZING

We explored why there are four Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and how each gives us a unique perspective of the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus.

We went deeper into the powerful subjects of miracles and healing, learning how they reveal Jesus’ compassion, authority and the power of God. We also opened up a fascinating discussion about angels and their role in Scripture.

What a privilege to learn, ask questions and grow together as a family.

Thank you, Caleb and YWAM MUIZENBERG for sharing your knowledge and passion with us.

Vigis Home of Hope had the privilege of honouring the life and legacy of Sandy Dowling at the Waldorf School at Imhoff Farm. Sandy played an influential role in Ocean View, touching many lives through her commitment to community and positive change.

It was also an honour to meet Mr Chris Nissen, a respected community leader and human-rights advocate. We sincerely thank him for his kind and encouraging words to our Cadets. His message reminded our young leaders that true leadership is about serving others, standing for what is right, and making a difference.

May Sandy’s legacy continue to inspire us to build stronger communities and give hope to the next generation.
