HEADLINE: The Resurrection Proved Her Right.
SHE Global Ministry - Easter Reflection
Scripture Anchor: Matthew 28:1-10; John 20:11-18.
Ladies, have you ever noticed that in the Easter narrative, the men are hiding, but the women are running?
In the 1st century, a woman’s testimony was legally worthless. In the Roman courts and Jewish tribunals, a woman could not serve as a legal witness.
Culturally, they were pushed to the margins, unreliable and emotional.
The Rabbis didn’t even teach women the Torah in public.
But then came the Resurrection.
THE MYSTERY JESUS PULLED:
While the disciples were locked in fear, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb. They were the last at the Cross and the first at the empty grave.
When the angel spoke, he didn’t go to Caiaphas the High Priest. He didn’t go to Pilate the Governor. He didn’t even go to Peter the Rock.
He spoke to the women.
And then, in the most counter - cultural act in history, the Risen Christ revealed Himself first to Mary.
THE RESURRECTION PROVED THREE THINGS ABOUT YOU.
1. Your Witness is Trusted by Heaven.
Jesus knew the culture said, “A woman’s word doesn’t count.” So, who did He choose to deliver the most important news in the universe? “Go and tell My brothers.” (Matthew 28:10)
He entrusted the Gospel of the Resurrection to a woman.
When God needed the ultimate truth delivered, He chose a female voice.
Your voice carries the authority of Heaven.
2. Your Tears are Sacred, Not Silly.
In John 20, when Jesus appears, Mary is weeping. The men had left, but Mary couldn't leave. She was desperate for the body of her Lord.
The culture told her to be quiet. But Jesus asked her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” He didn't dismiss her emotion; He entered it.
The Resurrection proves that your passionate pursuit of Jesus places you at the front of the line for His revelation.
3. You are an Apostle to the Apostles.
The title “Apostle” means “sent one.” The early church fathers called Mary Magdalene the “Apostola Apostolorum” - the Apostle to the Apostles.
Jesus took the one the culture considered the “weaker vessel” and made her the foundation of the Church’s faith.
He proved that redemption isn’t about gender roles; it’s about who is willing to show up at the tomb.
THE DEEP DIVE: When Adam hid in the Garden, God asked “Where are you?”
When Jesus rose from the Garden tomb, He asked “Woman, why are you weeping?”
The first event brought shame. The last event brought honor.
The curse said, “He will rule over you.” (Genesis 3:16)
The Resurrection declares: “Go and tell them He is Risen.” (Matthew 28:7)
SISTERS, THIS EASTER: The world may still try to silence you. But the empty grave is your microphone 🎤.
You are not just a follower of Jesus. You are a witness of the Resurrection.
And no cultural bias can cancel the truth of an empty tomb.
A woman’s testimony still changes the world.🔥✝️👑
