Your future starts NOW! 🔥Are you ready to ignite your potential and step into Meaningful Work? The Igniting Youth Futures (IYF) Project is officially calling for interns! This is more than an internship. It’s a launchpad into employment, entrepreneurship, and skills that actually matter in today’s world.
WHAT IS THE IGNITING YOUTH FUTURES PROJECT? IYF is a global World YMCA initiative, launched in June 2025, tackling youth unemployment head-on. Supported by Accenture and the Accenture Foundation, the project is active in South Africa, India and Spain, with a goal to empower 25,000 young people by 2028 and 100,000 by 2030.
The project focuses on:
⬜Education to Employment Pathway - Bridging the gap between learning and real jobs
⬜Digital & Future-Proof Skills - Training through Accenture’s Learning to Earning portal, workforce readiness and digital literacy
⬜Entrepreneurship & Self-Employment - Helping youth start and grow their own businesses
⬜Meaningful Work - Not just any job, but work that is fair, fulfilling and contributes to community wellbeing
⬜Employer Integration - Direct linkages with companies for mentoring, internships and job placementsIn South Africa, IyF is about breaking barriers for underserved youth, especially young women, and building a resilient, future-ready workforce.
WHO CAN APPLY?
📌Must have Grade 12 (Matric)
📌Must be digitally literate
📌Must have a clear criminal record
📌Must be passionate, committed and ready to learn!
