Dear SCO Family and Ministry Partners,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

1.We would like to share and spread your content on our social media platforms. Please tag us on our platforms or send us anything relating to your SCO events.

2.Through the Rory Prest Memorial Fund (RPMF), God has faithfully sustained SCO's staff as we reach students on campuses, in schools, and in the marketplace. But the harvest is far bigger than our current labourers.

Our vision is to place dedicated staff in every section of SCO (Higher Institutions and Schools) across all nine provinces.

Jesus looked at the crowds and was moved with compassion, " because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." He said to His disciples, The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest" (Matthew 9:36–38).

Paul reminds us that partnership in giving is itself ministry: "No church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only" (Philippians 4:15).

Our Goal: Over the next three years, employ 10–20 staff across three levels:

Intern (R60,000/year), Junior (R80,000/year), and Senior (R120,000/year).

Our Target: Raise R1 million annually to sustain this. We can get there together:

1,000 people giving R1,000/year, or
500 people giving R2,000/year, or
100 people giving R10,000/year

How to Partner:

A monthly commitment, however small, so we can remunerate our staff faithfully
A once-off gift toward a staff member's support
"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up " (Galatians 6:9).

Together, let us labour so this generation of students may know Christ and make Him known.

Greetings Family
,
Theme : Exemplary Life

Scripture : Titus 2 verse 7

"In everything set them an example. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech"

In our work places, our homes and also in our communities we need to impact everyone who come across us.
We need to be salts and provide taste wherever we go.
As Paul says here to this young man Titus that set an example. In your teaching have integrity. We need to leave our footprints for the next generation.

We are like a compus or a signposy and we need to lead by example. Let us live an exemplary life. We are the ambassadors of Christ after all so we need to sell this brand of Christ through our conduct.

Prayer: The Lord to help us to live a life that glorifies him. To be the people of integrity and wisdom.

Happy Women's Day!🥳🥳🥳

Today we pause to honor the women of faith and impact who continue to shape generations through their strength, wisdom, and grace.

To every woman in SCO, you are a gift. The faith you carry, the dedication you pour out, and the quiet strength you bring to this organisation and beyond do not go unnoticed. You are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated.

Proverbs 31:25-26 captures it well: a woman clothed in strength and dignity, unafraid of what's ahead, whose words carry wisdom and whose instruction is marked by faithfulness.

May you walk in that same strength today and always empowered, cherished, and celebrated not just on this day, but every day.

Happy Women's Day to the remarkable women of SCO!

Greetings in Christ.

You are warmly invited to the Students Christian Organisation (SCO) Motheo District Pastors' Meeting. At the African Gospel Church, Moshoeshoe Street, Phahameng, Bloemfontein. This meeting seeks to strengthen the partnership between the Church and SCO in reaching, discipling, and mentoring learners in our schools. It will also provide an opportunity to learn more about SCO, the role of SCO Associates, and how pastors can effectively minister within the school environment.

We would be honoured by your presence as we seek to work together for the advancement of God's Kingdom among the next generation. Kindly confirm your attendance by sending your full name so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
Thank you.

The heart of Servanthood

The Humility of the Incarnation

Philippians 2:6–8"He made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant."

Reflection
Before Jesus ever served a meal or healed a wound, He served by simply coming — trading heaven's throne room for a stable, and glory for a servant's form.

Christ's Example
The incarnation itself was an act of servant leadership: Christ emptied Himself before He ever lifted a hand to help anyone.

Application
What would it look like to 'empty yourself' of status or comfort to meet your people where they are?

Prayer
Lord, thank You for coming low so I could be lifted. Help me follow that same downward path in how I lead.

The Heart of Servanthood

Washing Feet
John 13:1–5
"He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself."

Reflection
Foot-washing was the lowest household task, reserved for servants. Jesus took it up deliberately, in full knowledge of His identity and authority, at the very moment His disciples were arguing about greatness.

Christ's Example
Jesus used a basin and a towel to teach what words alone could not: authority is safest in the hands of those willing to kneel.

Application
What is the 'towel and basin' task in your context that you've been avoiding because it feels beneath you?

Prayer
Jesus, give me the security in my identity that let You kneel without feeling diminished.

The Heart of Servanthood

The Call to Serve

Mark 10:45 (KJV)
“The Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister.”

Reflection

Every model of leadership Jesus gives us begins with this reversal: greatness is not measured by how many serve you, but by how many you serve. Before He taught a single parable about leadership, He defined it — by His own life.

Christ's Example:

Jesus, who held all authority in heaven and earth, chose to define His mission as one of service rather than status.

Application

Where in your leadership this week have you sought to be served rather than to serve?

Prayer

Lord, reshape my definition of greatness around Your example. Teach me to lead by serving first.

*"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." (Isaiah 60:1)*

May the Lord cause you to be a blessing and light as you step into the school yard today.

May your excellence reflect the Glory of the One you serve.

A blessed new term to you all.
