Freedom in the Spirit

"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
(2 Corinthians 3:17 NKJV)

* Our God is the Spirit that brings liberty/freedom.
* Although God is everywhere, the freedom that He brings can only be experienced where He is acknowledged as Lord.
* Freedom is the result of the presence of His spirit therefore,
* We need to be in the Spirit in order to experience this freedom.

Prayer
Lord, may your Spirit dwell in me and with me so that I may encounter this freedom, Your freedom.
I renounce every work of the flesh in my life, the traditions that held me down and I acknowledge you as Lord.
Amen

Greetings SCO family

*Matthew 18:4*
[4]Therefore, whoever humbles himself like a child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

* Our Lord Jesus Christ was portraying unto us that for one to be great in the kingdom of God of heaven, they need to reckon themselves as little children.
* The simplicity of this message is that faith is an act of surrender unto the Lord.
* Just like children, we ought to admit our insufficiency, how helpless we can be without a guardian, and that dependency on our survival is not our responsibility.
* We have no resources of our own, but we all we are because of our guardian.
* This also applies in the kingdom of heaven. We need to assume the position of being children when approaching our Father, and the Bible recognizes that as the act of humility

Heavenly father, help me to always assume the posture of being a child when approaching you, in Jesus Mighty name, AMEN📯🇿🇦

I hope this finds you well.

I'm writing with an update regarding the National Conference venue. We've encountered a double-booking issue at the campsite that unfortunately affects our original dates.
So we shifted our dates to start on Monday, 29th June to end on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026. and departure being on 3rd July 2026
Once again our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.
Secondly I am excited to introduce our conference speakers:

A Tribute to a Faithful Servant: Honoring Pastor Khaya Maphinda

What a humble servant, and a giant of faith Pastor Khaya Maphinda was! You have lived a life fully dedicated to serving the Lord, and like David, you have faithfully served God’s purpose in your generation.

Your commitment to SCO has been marked by distinction, excellence, and profound humility.

You consistently supported the work of SCO, the leaders of SCO at regional, provincial and national level, not only through your earnest and fervent prayers but also through your faithful monthly giving of your resources – a silent yet powerful testament to your unwavering dedication and love for the house of God.

I vividly recall your selfless example, such as the time you will drive to the National Council meetings in Bloemfontein while serving as Chairperson of the Eastern Cape South.

You would drive back on Saturday night, solely to be present at church the following morning. This is the measure of your devotion – always prioritising your service to God and His people above personal convenience.

We honor your life, Pastor Khaya Maphinda, a true giant of faith and a faithful servant of the Most High God. You ran your race with endurance, love and sacrifice.

You have truly lived out the call to ‘empty yourself,’ serving SCO, the student community, the church, and the community with immense love, wisdom, and dedication.

Your life stands as a powerful inspiration to many, demonstrating what it means to follow Christ not just in word, but in action, sacrifice, and spirit.

This verse beautifully echoes the testimony of your life, Pastor Maphinda. Like David, you have served God’s purpose in your generation with integrity, humility, and unwavering faithfulness, leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to impact generations to come.

* This is a continuation of yesterdays word, the peace that supress all understanding.
* Todays word encourages us that instead of worrying and being anxious over our problems we should focus our thoughts on things that are true and meanings that are confirmed by God's Word
* We should center our minds on the things that are righteous, and align our thoughts with the truth of God.
* It further indicates that we should meditate on things that brings peace, things that are praise worthy.
* This word encourages us to have a positive mindset that is in alignment with the Word of God.

Father Lord, thank you for your Word, may you help me on things that are pure, true and praiseworthy in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.🇿🇦

Happy Mother's Day! 🌹

To all the amazing SCO mothers and every mother celebrating today: thank you for your endless love, quiet sacrifices, late nights, prayers, and unwavering faith.

You are shaping generations who love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ with all their hearts. Your labor in the Lord is never in vain.

Mothers, you are not just raising children—you are nurturing souls for eternity.

Even on the hard days when you feel exhausted or unseen, God sees every act of love, every tear, every prayer whispered over your children.

Your faithfulness plants seeds that will bear fruit for generations. You are a living example of Proverbs 31 strength, clothed with dignity and wisdom. Keep pressing on your influence echoes into heaven.

You carry a high and holy calling. The world may undervalue the work of motherhood, but heaven does not.

Your home is your first mission field, and your love reflects the heart of our Father.

Rest in this truth: God equips those He calls. When you feel weak, His strength is made perfect in you.

Good Morning SCO Family

PLANTED RIGHT

“Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.” Psalm 92:13 KJV

Beloved, this verse speaks about being planted in the right place. If you attend a church, you are planted there. Every time the Pastor gives you the word, they nurture you. They water you so that you grow stronger and stronger. Every person must have a place he is planted in. When God wanted to check on Adam, He specifically went to place he planted him. When you are planted right, it will be easy for you to take instructions and obey the authority you are under.
DECLARATION PRAYER
I DECREE AND DECLARE I AM PLANTED IN THE RIGHT PLACE. I GROW STRONGER AND STRONGER!!!
