Bringing together Africa’s energy leadership and creative talent, the Amila Africa Art Soirée returns to Cape Town on 15 October for its fifth edition, creating a space where energy, finance and African art converge.

Hosted by Amila Africa, with AEW as its platform partner, the Soirée has welcomed 398 guests from 38 countries across its first four editions, connecting ministers, executives, financiers, artists and collectors.

The 2026 edition will feature an expanded programme, a formalised patron circle and curated works by IMISO Ceramics, celebrating African creativity, heritage and the future.

As AEW continues to drive investment and partnerships across the continent, the Art Soirée highlights another essential part of Africa’s story: the role of culture and creativity in shaping the continent’s identity and future.

AEW 2026 is where Africa’s energy opportunities meet capital, decision-makers and business.

From October 12–16, Cape Town becomes the meeting point for more than 10,000 delegates as AEW brings governments, investors, financiers, operators, project developers and technology leaders together for five days of networking, dialogue and decision-making.

Africa’s next wave of energy investment is taking shape.

At , the African Energy Chamber will launch the State of African Energy 2027 Outlook Report, developed in collaboration with S&P Global Energy and powered by S&P Global Energy data.

The Outlook examines the continent’s evolving energy landscape, from renewed upstream investment and Africa’s vast gas resources to rising power demand, renewable energy opportunities and the growing strategic importance of critical minerals.

With approximately 565 million people still lacking access to electricity, the report highlights opportunities across distributed generation, microgrids, gas-to-power, renewables, regional power pools and transmission infrastructure.

It also looks beyond resource extraction, highlighting the potential for Africa to capture greater value through refining, processing and manufacturing.
