Detecting and diagnosing cancer early increases the likelihood of responding successfully to treatment and can improve the chance of survival. Early diagnosis starts with knowing the symptoms, seeking medical advice when you notice an abnormality, getting a clinical evaluation and being referred for treatment when necessary.

If you find a lump or notice an unusual change, don’t delay.

The clock is ticking! Today, 12 October 2026, is the final day to apply for a Special Vote for the 2026 Local Government Elections.

If you qualify for a Special Vote and have not yet submitted your application, be sure to do so before the deadline.

⏰ Deadline: Today, 12 October 2026, at 17:00.

Once applications close, the IEC will focus on preparing approved applicants for the voting process.

Working Together for a Safer Community 🤝

M16 Toro G3, Mr Van Wyk, V2 Nicole, Chrysalis members Simbulele and Kuhle, Newlands Community Patrol CPF members, and Mr Mathew joined forces to conduct VCP operations on the mountain.

Through this partnership and coordinated effort, the team successfully completed the operation involving people sleeping on the mountain, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in keeping our communities and public spaces safe.
