🐿️🌿 LITTLE STEPS… BIG MILESTONES! 🌿🐿️
Our little squirrels may still be tiny, but every day they are taking another step towards the life they were meant to live — wild and free. 💚
From sleepy little babies who needed constant warmth and care, we are now seeing some wonderful milestones:
👀 Eyes opening – their world is getting bigger by the day!
🍼➡️🌰 Diets changing – moving from milk feeds towards the foods they will eventually forage for themselves.
🧗 Climbing – those little legs and claws are getting stronger as they learn to navigate branches and different surfaces.
🌿 Exploring – curiosity is taking over as they investigate their surroundings, developing the confidence and skills they will need outdoors.
💪 Growing stronger and more independent – every climb, every bite and every new discovery is part of their rehabilitation.
These moments might seem small, but to a squirrel in rehabilitation, they are huge achievements. Each milestone brings them closer to the day when they can leave our care and begin their wild lives again. 🌳🐿️💚
Behind every tiny pair of bright eyes is a journey of patience, dedication and love from our squirrel fosters. We are so fortunate to have a caring network of fosters.
From helpless little babies… to confident little climbers… one milestone at a time. 🌿
