WARWICK HOUSE
150 Main Road (opposite Fish Hoek circle) was built in 1923.

Over the decades, the ground floor has seen several retail and restaurant outlets. In the 1920s it famously housed AP Jones.

Past tenants includes: Wakefords, The Attic, Oxleys and others. The ⭐️ on the roof remained behind from Stargarden Boutique Café which operated in 2018.

The current outlets:

AQUATRAILS have served Fish Hoek for more than 15 years. Here you can HIRE or BUY kayaks, inflatables, paddle skis, fishing kayaks and gear.

Opening hours: Mon - Sat 10h00 - 15h00

CHALK AND CHEESE CAFÉ opened in 2020 and serve coffee and cake, all day breakfasts and light lunches. The café has a treasure trove of gifts, thrifts and books for sale.

Fish Hoek Valley Museum and Fish Hoek Library bring you the next instalment of the popular 'History over Tea' at the Fish Hoek Library next Wednesday 27 May, at 11 am.

This month's topic is 'Our Ocean Life', bringing you tales of our life by the ocean, past and present, from fishing and whaling to disputes over the high water mark. All are welcome to attend and bring their stories and anecdotes.

FISH HOEK FISHERIES opened in 1951 on Kommetjie Road (Robin Hood Interiors today). The shop moved to their current location on the main road in 1955, and managed by the current owners since 1995.

On the menu : fried hake, kingklip, snoek, calamari, prawns and more.

Fresh fish available too.

Red tide bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon where dense blooms of algae (often Noctiluca scintillans or dinoflagellates) create a reddish-brown, murky, or smelly ocean surface during the day and emit a brilliant, electric-blue glow at night.
