It’s happening on 3 October at Kelvin Grove! As we say goodbye to 10 years of hosting our annual ‘Christmas in July’ Gala event, Ari’s Cancer Foundation invites you to our ‘Golden Light Gala Dinner - Lighting the Way to Hope.’ This special evening will be a celebration of hope and courage, honouring those we’ve lost, celebrating survivors and raising funds to support those who need hope on their cancer journeys. Together we can make a difference!
Ps. The good food, the dancing and the vibe will still be there!

Our annual 'Cuppa for Cancer' was a huge success. It was held this year at SACS Junior Hall and we had a bumper crowd who enjoyed delicious treats provided by the table hosts and beautiful music provided by Kevin and Claire Dublin and their backing band. We were also blessed to have Dr. Nerushka Naidoo as our guest speaker. Dr Naidoo is a surgeon in private practice who has a passion for educating families about healthy lifestyles, especially for kids. Our event coincided with Mandela Day this year and we were able to auction a painting of Madiba that was generously donated by renowned Suurbrak artist, Donovan Julius. Thanks to all who helped make this a succesful day. A special 'big thank you' to the 'Ari's Angels' from Fairmont Secondary School who helped as servers!

We would like to express our gratitude to SheerGuard SA for their professional services rendered at Tygerberg Care Home, where they assisted us with certain upgrades currently underway. They significantly enhanced the safety of the young cancer patients by installing SheerGuard bars on the windows. As part of their Youth Month commitment, they went above and beyond by not only offering a discounted rate for their work, but also providing lively goodies for the children.

We would like to thank the people who braved the bitterly cold weather yesterday to support our Ari's Memorial Walk. Despite the weather, we had an outstanding turnout and a wonderful atmosphere. The memorial walk affords us the opportunity to remember our loved ones lost to cancer, but it is also a time to reconnect with old friends, neighbours, and even school friends. We also used the occasion to honour and appreciate our Ari's Angels from Fairmont Secondary School, who, along with some of their educators, cycled the Cape Town Cycle Tour in March. Lastly, we need to thank our dedicated committee members, who helped make the day so memorable.

The Ari’s Angel Runners had a wonderful day on the road, completing the Two Oceans Half Marathon this morning. Well done to all the runners, and a big thank you to all our supporters who came out to cheer us on.
