"It is with a deeply broken heart that I share that my beloved Dad (known to many as uncle Ballie - aka Captain Storm) passed away in the early hours of this morning, in my arms.

There are no words to truly express the pain of losing a father, just 5 months after I lost my mom.

Holding him in my arms as he took his final breath is something I will never forget.

For now, I ask for some understanding and privacy as I try to process this immense loss.

Please keep me and my family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Your prayers, love and support mean more to me than words can say.

This Sunday, 12 July 2026, it will be exactly 3 months since our world changed forever.

Today, Dad and 2 of the grandchildren came to freshen up mom's grave. Rest peacefully our Queen.💔🌹🪽

The Hout Bay Methodist Church Soup Kitchen was a place my mom made her second home. This was a place she and the late aunty Nancy use to prepare meals for underprivileged children in the Hangberg community.

The Church soup kitchen faced many challenges due to a lack of funds and still does.

The Sybil Davids Foundation has secured a monthly donation of R1000 per month for the next 7 months, to ensure the Church can buy basic supplies to help keep the pots cooking and provide a meal to the underprivileged.
