🚨 A great example of proactive community action!

On Friday, a house manager contacted the CBCID Control Room for assistance with guests who were in breach of the property's Airbnb rules and refusing to leave. CBCID officers responded swiftly, resolving the situation before it could impact neighbouring residents.

During the response, officers also identified several vehicles displaying traffic-related violations. With the assistance of Law Enforcement and Traffic Services, multiple offences were addressed and enforcement action was taken.

A big thank you to all role players for helping keep Camps Bay safe, compliant, and neighbour-friendly. 👏

📡 A new addition to the Bakoven skyline!

Installation of a new telecommunications mast is currently underway in Bakoven. Once completed, the upgraded infrastructure will help improve safety in the area by providing enhanced network coverage and connectivity.

The project is expected to be completed imminently, bringing these benefits to the community in the near future.

A park swing at the Tidal Pool was recently damaged, leaving one of our popular play areas incomplete.

Thanks to the kindness of a generous resident who donated a replacement swing, our maintenance team was able to quickly install the new equipment and get the swing back in action for everyone to enjoy.

A big thank you to the resident for their contribution and to our maintenance team for their prompt response. It's through small acts of community spirit and teamwork that we help keep Camps Bay's public spaces welcoming, safe, and enjoyable for all. 🌿😊

The CBCID Atholl Corridor Intensive Team, together with our partners at Ignisive, is geared up and ready to take on another day in Camps Bay. 💪

From the little things you notice to the many things you don't, this hardworking crew is out there helping to keep our neighbourhood looking clean, welcoming, and running smoothly. Whether it's tidying public spaces, addressing maintenance issues, or keeping a watchful eye on the area, they're always on the move and ready to make a difference.

🌿🙌 Another positive step forward for Camps Bay!

The City has commenced the reinstatement of the Camps Bay Drive viewing area, which was previously used as a construction yard during the Tafelberg Road rehabilitation project.

While the space played an important role in supporting the roadworks, it's great to see work now underway to restore this much-loved viewpoint. Known for its spectacular scenery, the viewing area is a favourite spot for both residents and visitors to stop, take in the views, and appreciate the beauty that makes Camps Bay so special.

We're excited to see the transformation unfold and look forward to welcoming this iconic public space back to its full glory. 🌊⛰️✨

🌿👣 Our Path Restoration Team has been hard at work recently, and the difference is really showing!

These pathways are used by so many residents and visitors every day, and keeping them safe, accessible, and looking good is an important part of caring for our shared public spaces. From repairs to general restoration work, the team has been putting in the effort to ensure these routes remain enjoyable for everyone to use.

It's always rewarding to see the transformation once the work is complete, and we're incredibly grateful to the team for the pride, dedication, and hard work they bring to every project.
🌿👣 Our Path Restoration Team has been hard at work recently, and the difference is really showing!

These pathways are used by so many residents and visitors every day, and keeping them safe, accessible, and looking good is an important part of caring for our shared public spaces. From repairs to general restoration work, the team has been putting in the effort to ensure these routes remain enjoyable for everyone to use.

One of the latest projects completed by our newly established Twelve Apostles-trained Path Restoration Operational Team is the successful rehabilitation of the popular pedestrian pathway connecting Fiskaal Road and Francolin Road. This well-used route is an important link within our community, and it's fantastic to see it restored and ready to be enjoyed once again.

It's always rewarding to see the transformation once the work is complete, and we're incredibly grateful to the team for the pride, dedication, and hard work they bring to every project. Their training, commitment, and care for the environment are already making a positive impact throughout the area.

🚧🔥 Our CBCID Maintenance Team was seriously on fire today! 🔥🚧

The team tackled road repairs along Victoria Road with plenty of energy, teamwork, and determination, making sure this busy route stays safe and in good condition for everyone.

It's always great to see our crews getting stuck in and making a visible difference in the area. Their hard work, commitment, and can-do attitude help keep Camps Bay looking its best day after day.

Good news, Camps Bay! We’ve received the new, stronger brackets and have started reinstalling our traffic mirrors to help improve visibility and safety at key intersections.

The first mirrors have been reinstalled at:
📍 Willesden & Kinnoul
📍 Horak & Ravensteyn

These mirrors play an important role in helping motorists navigate blind corners more safely and contribute to safer roads for everyone in our community.

🚫 Parking on Pavements Isn't Just Inconsiderate – It's Dangerous

We’d like to remind residents and visitors that parking on pavements can have serious consequences for both people and public infrastructure.

Vehicles parked on pavements can damage paving, underground services, and other infrastructure that is costly to repair. More importantly, it forces pedestrians, parents with prams, wheelchair users, and other vulnerable road users into the roadway, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

Keeping pavements clear helps ensure that everyone can move around our area safely and comfortably.

Please park responsibly and help us protect both our community and the infrastructure we all rely on every day.
