Yesterday 28 grade "R" pupils at Gamka Oos school received their winter woolie package from Calitzdorp Community Chest.
Each child received a blanket, beanie, 2 x pair socks and a hand knitted scarf. Once again, many tks to all the ladies who helped with the knitting of the scarves and beanies. The children were very pleased to receive their winter gift. Permission received for any photographs taken.

Morning all.
Calitzdorp Community Chest will once again be embarking on their annual winter woolies project where we distribute blankets, beanies, socks and scarves to school children in need.
Handover of above items to the children will be after the easter break, just in time for the upcoming winter chills. We are once again appealing to the ladies (or gents) to help us with the knitting of the scarves.

Goeiemôre almal, die Calitzdorp Gemeenskapskas is weer aan die werskaf met die jaarlikse “Winter Woolies” projek waartydens die Gemeenskapskas komberse, mussies, kouse en serpe oorhandig aan minder bevooregte skoolkinders. Die Gemeenskapskas beoog om hierdie items na die Paasnaweek te oorhandig, wat net betyds sal wees voor die ergste winter koue begin. Ons wil graag weer die gemeenskap se hulp vra met die brei van serpe en indien daar enige dames, of mans, is wat bereid is om te help, kontak gerus vir Sue Nicholas 0764576540 .

Al die wol en patrone word verskaf, en ons sien daarna uit om van julle te hoor!

🎉🍑 A Sweet Success at the Apricot Jamboree! 🍑🎉

This year’s Calitzdorp Community Chest Apricot Jamboree was a smashing success! Held at the Station, the event brought our community together in the sweetest way possible.

We’re thrilled to share that 1,125 bottles of delicious apricot jam were cooked and bottled, all in support of our fundraising efforts. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and participated—you’ve made a real difference in our mission to uplift our community.

Our fresh fruit and apricots products stall also did really well, almost selling out of all the goodies and fruit provided by the community

Here’s to many more moments of teamwork, joy, and generosity. Until next year’s Jamboree, let’s keep spreading the love (and the jam)! 🧡

The Calitzdorp Community Chest is excited to announce the start of our annual Christmas hamper project! Our goal is to provide holiday hampers to as many underprivileged families in Calitzdorp as possible.
Last year, with the incredible support of our generous community, we filled 45 hampers! This year, we hope to reach even more families in need and bring a little Christmas joy to their homes.

Experience authentic Riel dancing at the Calitzdorp Apricot Jamboree 2024!! 🍑
The Kalliklip Vastrappers will be entertaining us with their fantastic dancing skills at 12:00 and 12:45 on 30 Nov 2024.
