*Calitzdorp Saps*:

Calitzdorp SAPS together with the Assest Forfeiture Unit successfully forfeited a vehicle in the High Court under the Prevention of organized crime act(Poca Act).

The vehicle was used in the Illicit drug trade.

With this ruling we affirm our commitment to eradicate the Illicit drug trade in Calitzdorp.

*Calitzdorp Saps* :
Today we conduct a disruptive operation addressing criminal elements in Calitzdorp community.

Several persons was arrested for Dealing in Tik,Dealing in Mandrax, Dealing in Dagga, Dealing in Liquor, Possession of dangerous weapons.

Drugs,liquor, Dangerous weapons, Cash was confiscated.

We affirm the authority of the state and will not tolerate that the community of Calitzdorp be torn apart by drugs.

*CALITZDORP CLEAN-UP* When communities stand together

“This morning (18-7-2026) the town woke up to clean main streets (well almost!)🤩
A group of spiritedly volunteers took 46 bags of refuse off our streets So thank you all of you who braved the cold misty morning It was a great way to spend Mandela Day! 💪🏽👏🏽Congratulations to Pop and her team as well!

STATE OF READYNESS

Calitzdorp, De Rust and Dysselsdorp SAPS yesterday, Sunday 28 June, showcased their state of readiness to any eventuality related to anti-foreigner sentiment.
Under the Operational command of Capt Mtanda Station commander of Calitzdorp Saps they started with a parade in Blomnek,De Rust
Afterwards operations in respective towns were held with the focus on Enforcement of immigration legislation, closing of illegal shebeens and drug outlets, enforcement of municipal by laws.

*Calitzdorp:Local drug action committee:*

On 9 June 2026 Calitzdorp Saps had partnered with different roleplayers to form the Local Drug Action Committee(LDAC)
Captain Mtanda the station commander of Calitzdorp Saps said"Subtance abuse is not a distant problem,it us a reality within our homes, our streets, and our shared spaces it tears families and communities apart" Therefore we need an Intergrated response to this crisis.

Mr J Douw was elected as chairperson of committee.
Stakeholders are Saps,DsD,Hope centre, Calitzdorp CPF,Calitzdorp soup kitchen, Oasis,Exelcior primary school, Calitzdorp high school,Faith based organizations and local residents.

These organizations will pull there resources and services together to render a more integrated service to Calitzdorp residents.
Other organizations, individuals are more then welcome to join.
