Menstrual Hygiene Day is observed annually on the 28th of May.

Did you know that millions of people across the world still lack access to safe menstrual products, clean water and proper sanitation?

In many communities, menstruation is still surrounded by shame, silence and misinformation and that affects girls education, women’s health and overall dignity.

At Ahi Pfunaneni NPO, we believe that menstrual health is a basic human right, not a luxury.

Ahi Pfunaneni NPO stands with girls and women who continue to face the reality of period poverty and menstrual inequity. Menstruation should never be a barrier to education, dignity or opportunity.

We believe that every girl deserves access to safe, affordable menstrual products, education and the freedom to live her life without shame or stigma🌸.

Together we can break the stigma, fight period poverty, and build a future where menstrual health is recognized as a basic human right.
