Today, we reflect on the 32 years of democracy and also honour the profound milestones that paved the way: the 30th anniversary of our Constitution, 70 years since the 1956 Women’s March and 50 years since the 1976 Soweto Uprising.

These milestones remind us that freedom thrives only where the rule of law is upheld.

The Thabitha Mogale Foundation strongly welcomes the rigorous enforcement of justice we are witnessing in our country today.

By safeguarding our Constitution and ensuring the law is applied without fear or favour, we preserve the hard-won rights of every South African.

We are thrilled to kick off our 2026 Quarterly Donation Program with a strategic upgrade: PostNet Burgersfort is now our official, professional drop-off location!

Having stood by us since 2023 to feed local families in need, we are honoured to have PostNet’s continued support in streamlining our mission.

We are currently accepting items for our Back-to-School and Winter drives:
* Non-perishable food
* Clean pre-loved or new clothing
* School uniforms and stationery

VICTORY ANNOUNCEMENT: R19 496 RAISED!

We set an ambitious goal of R16 000 and because of your incredible solidarity, we finished by raising an astonishing R19 496!

The Ultimate Budget Upgrade:

Our initial R16 000 target was allocated as R10 000 for construction material and labour, with the remaining R6 000 intended for securing the food parcels.

However, mid-campaign, observing the trajectory of your giving, we took a leap of faith and added a vital cement slab to ensure the structure's ultimate stability and longevity.

This single addition pushed our construction expenses up by an extra R7 250, making our total construction cost R17 250.

This entire project is the absolute epitome of Proverbs 16:3: "Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." We committed our plan, and through your hands, God established the thought into a physical reality.

To every single person who contributed:

Whether you donated the foundational R25, sustained us with R500 and R1 000, or were a major sponsor at R2 000 and R2 500—this victory belongs to you. We are overwhelmingly glad that our main priority, the permanent shade structure, is fulfilled.

A Final Request for the Handover:

While the total construction cost of R17 250 took a large chunk out of our budget, affecting the number of food parcels we are now able to secure with the remaining funds, we welcome any last-minute non-perishable food items as we prepare for the handover.
