1st Bryanston Scout Group We are part of the Sandton District and fall under the Gauteng Region in South Africa. We are open for meetings on Fridays and Saturdays.

What a weekend🤩🥳!

The 1st Bryanston Scout Troop took part in Field Day 2026. With the theme of “The Mandolorian and Grogu” our Scouts experienced an intergalactic event that was out of this world!

Competing in all the competitions, 1st Bryanston walked away with fantastic results across the board! We are incredibly proud of all our Scouts who participated in the weekend🤩! We hope you had fun and learnt a lot.

1st Bryanston achieved the following:

🔴⚫️1st Bryanston Scout Group Launches Saturday Troop🔴⚫️

The 1st Bryanston Scout Group is thrilled to announce the launch of a second Scout Troop, opening even more opportunities for youth aged 11–17 to experience the adventure of Scouting🎉. Meeting on Saturday mornings, this new troop makes it easier for families who can’t attend the existing Friday sessions to get involved.

Meetings take place on Saturdays, from 09:30 – 12:00 at the 1st Bryanston Scout Hall, 40 West Hertford Road, Bryanston.

Scouting is about fun, leadership, outdoor adventure, and making a difference. With two troops now running, 1st Bryanston is ready to welcome even more young people to the movement. Parents and prospective Scouts are warmly invited to join us at the launch.

This past weekend the 1st Bryanston Scout Troop partook in the Regional Field Day competition🤩.

With the “Flintstones” theme, the Troop went back to the stone age, building catapults, the flintstones car, building 1st Bryanstone campsite (a town within Bedrock), and cooking delicious meals.

The troop performed incredibly well achieving the following:
🥉 3rd Overall
🏆 Most Improved Troop

🏆 1st place in Pioneering
🏆 1st place in Jolumk’u (Scouters & Rovers Pioneering competition)
🥈 2nd place in Junior Orienteering
🥉 3rd place in Scoutcraft
🥉 3rd place in cooking
🥉 3rd place in Senior Tug-of-War
4th place in Troop HQ
4th place in Senior Marksmanship
5th place in Senior Volleyball

A huge “yabba dabba dooo” to all those who assisted and participated in the weekend! Already looking forward to next year🥳!
