Polished Arrows Devotional

As the season of Winter creeps in, jerseys and coats are coming out to bring us comfort and warmth. This made me remember this :

"They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Revelation 7 : 14.

Simple but very profound! Jesus wore our coat of sin all the way to the cross. He has made us worthy – Revelation 3 : 4. He changed places with us – Galatians 3 : 13. Can you think of a greater exchange?

🤗🌞✨A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the tack shop sale in aid of our equine therapy centre at . Your generosity reached far beyond the rails and saddles, and straight into the lives of the children and equines in our care.🤗🌞✨

We are deeply grateful for the additional contributions towards their grocery needs, as well as the support for extra curricular activities such as dancing and our book initiative. 💡

A very special thank you to the wonderful impromptu volunteers who stepped in before the event and on the day at the stall, the team at who so willingly helped clean and sort tack in the store rooms and to Louise, Zuné and Nicola who help put all the pieces together and roll bandages on the day. You played a real part in making the weekend such a success.

Your support also brings something less visible, but just as important. It allows our team to focus their time and energy where it is needed most, caring for the children and the animals in our care, without the constant weight of worrying about how to meet day to day costs.🤗

You have all made a meaningful difference, and we are truly thankful to have you as part of this journey.

🐴✨This weekend, a little corner of the arena will be doing something rather special 🐴✨

We will be hosting a fundraiser stall at the Western Mounted Games at Metsweding Equestrian Club Schietpoort, Bronkhorstspruit, where we will be selling second hand tack, including some hardly used and even new items.

Every purchase goes towards supporting the African Blessings Equine Therapy program, helping create connections between our children and the horses that play such an important role in their healing and growth.

Polished Arrows Devotional: Have you noticed? Sometimes we as humans are not mentioned in the Bible with very complimentary terms! I love this about God, because it can bring us to a huff and offence – or it can draw us to take note, to pay attention! I always choose the latter. Here is one example :



“We are like clay, and You are the potter; Your hands made us all.” Isaiah 64 : 8.



A mere blob of clay. Not really encouraging – or is it? The great news here is that this means that our personality can change, we don’t need to be grumpy all the time. It means that our human nature is perhaps to be always worrying, we no longer choose to, we cast our burdens on Him. I wonder how many times we have heard this saying, agreed with it and taken it as gospel truth? A leopard does not change his spots. Well, I personally am very glad about that, because leopards have stunning spots and they should never change. But … we are not leopards, we are people created in His image, and if we surrender our whole selves to Him, we have the absolute ability to be changed. Jesus is still in the business of changing hearts. It gets better, He wants us to have a heart like His. So, what’s not to like?

🎁🎶 From all of us at African Blessings, a BIG thank you to Noteworthy and Northtone Music School in Johannesburg for your generous Christmas present donations for the children at our children’s village 🎁🎶

We truly appreciated the care taken into selecting these gifts and how beautifully wrapped each gift was. This extra thought adds to the excitement and makes the children feel especially valued. It is also a reminder that they are cared for and remembered by people beyond our village.
